i think the manga was good i got to around vol3 last year and i put it down. the world was pretty cool and i liked the designs but there was never really a good hook to grab me.

My first thought was that he entered into the body of an ancestor before the first Cataclysm but that wouldnt make sense because powers didnt develop til after the Cataclysm (so his legs wouldnt be tied), the Special Fire Force wasnt established til after the Cataclysm (so clothes wouldnt match), and the technology level seems to be the same as before he got mindfucked by the past. I guess the explanation that his mind phased out the 3 months of insanity and his hair became white due to said insanity makes sense, but then why the fuck does he have piercings?

I like Fire Force. It's a serviceable manga with a pretty good execution. Some of the gags can get a little bit annoying (Gorilla Cyclops and Tamaki's curse) but they are gradually phased out in the manga. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10

Then they start exchanging blows DBZ style which would be impossible if only one of them could move. They literally even copied that slight hand movement before Shinra punched Sho, which was also the first thing Jotaro did when he was gaining control of the time stop. It's the same fucking fight, but sped up, how can you defend this?
