This is an old drawing Oda did back in 2013 (when he didn't had a huge eye fetish). I don't know how was the art of his first manga, but I hope after Komi-san he goes back to a more detailed art style.

What little I've seen of his previous manga looks pretty cartoony, if not as streamlined as Komi has become. I actually like the art a lot, even as he's streamlined it. It feels like he takes from the late 80s/90s a little bit, like he grew up watching a bunch of Ranma and Sailor Moon reruns.

God, why should I keep reading this manga when even the author clearly doesn't give a fuck anymore?

He's never drawn Komi like that before, his previous manga was shounen as fuck, so of course his art had to be crazy
