>My home hero licensed
>Jagaaaaaan licensed

Frogs are lucky but why don't the burgers buy manga and why do i have to suffer due to them?

There's unironically a DC - Marvel cartel in the US that has its clutches over the entire comic publishing industry prices. Ever wonder why UK/US manga volumes are so expensive?

but they have nothing to do with Viz and Kodansha

Is evolution compared to last year's sales? And PDM percentage of total manga sales?

Yes because a lot of shit goes before it reaches the stores which includes Translations, lettering, cover designing and paying to distributers all this while trying to make a profit. Also because murricans have good economy and because Comics aren't daily necessities. American Comics are of the same price so you're really punching the the air.

Manga are sold at 2x the price in the UK/US than virtually any other country on Earth. I think 16$ in France can buy you one of those huge Latitudes editions, while it's pretty average for an official one-volume monthly series in English.

>My Hero Academia
>The Promised Neverland
>Seven Deadly Sins
>Assassination Classroom
>L'attaque des Titans

How does the localisers decide when to translated the name or keep the English translated title instead?

whim

How French of you

they keep english name when its already in english and when the mangaka decide one

>My Hero Academia
>The Promised Neverland
>Seven Deadly Sins
>Assassination Classroom
All of these has Japanese titles.

its because they want to sound cool

Does L'attaque des Titans really sound cooler than Attack on Titan?

less dumb and more accurate i think

Manga is priced at what is suitable for the consumers of the regions. Murricans are rich and miser.

On one hand, I want to be proud because of stuff like Heart Gear, Jigokuraku, Beastars, and Gokushufudou. But then I see Sam8, Grandblue Fantasy and fucking Ki&Hi so nevermind Frogs have shit taste.

All the debuts are first volume during release month, KnY's debut is quite good

Also consider that western markets are less frontloaded compared to japan

>Ki&Hi
dont worry its dropping fast compared to last year, only his retard fans are keeping it alive

That barely makes a dent in Japanese sales.
I wonder what all the western markets added together looks like.

maybe 1 month of the japanese sale

Where is Jojo?

Most regular volumes are priced at £6.99 in the UK, larger sized ones will be £7.99/8.99/9.99 depending on publisher.

some of them are already decided by the japanese publisher for international brand

Where at? I go to comic stores regularly, and I rarely see anything below the 10 quid threshold outside of WSJ series.

That's the publisher price for a lot of stuff.
Of course obscure stuff rockets up in price, like Hidamari Sketch volume 8 is £17

Diamond's distribution monopoly has their balls in a vice grip. This is why US mangoes are expensive, this is why they take a year to show up.
