So I am reading this manga (at chapter 95 atm) and can't really comprehend why this retard traded his All Fiction, arguably the most OP power in the series so far, for that other useless power that did literally nothing.
Someone explain? Also does this manga get better from here? not liking these not equal guys right now
Medaka has plot armour so she'll always win. On the other hand, Kumagawa will always lose ,because he's like the Vegeta of the series. It doesn't matter how powerful Kumagawa is — Vegeta will outshine the main character. Who cares if he has All Fiction? Megaka will acquire some new ridiculous powerup in the middle of the battle that will let her surpass him. So, he might as well trade away All Fiction for a more meta power that might make a real difference.
I know that sounds retarded, but that's just the kind of manga this is.
Mostly he did it to try to win an argument (he failed) but Book Marker is also stupidly OP (it's basically a de-leveling ability)
Luis Diaz
Minuses can't beat pluses, but minuses can beat other minuses. So Kumagawa decided to turn Medaka into a minus and get a chance to beat her. It's not that hard.
Jaxson Murphy
All fiction can't erase abilities, book maker can actively nullify them
Blake Allen
Kumagawa's whole point is that he never wins and people still like him
Owen Cooper
Iihiko arc is fresh, continue reading The ending is kino
Christopher Thomas
>Book Marker >brings a person down to the user's level >Since Kumagawa is a minus his level is pretty much in the negatives
It's basically the second most OP ability next to All Fiction
Alexander Gomez
Book maker backfires when you get strong. Also wouldn't it make others able to use it if it makes them equal?
Ayden Richardson
Thanks for reminding me why I loved this manga so much. I dropped it around the engagement arc and completely forgot about it. Might pick up later again, does it get better after that?
Jacob Campbell
same level not abilities besides they usually get too demotivated to even test that theory
though it wouldn't be as effective if it was used by anyone that isn't a minus
Lucas Watson
Iihiko arc is pretty good, It never falls down as some others shounens do. Iihiko arc is worth reading just for the FRESH
Jace Perry
What is Nisio doing these days? I like Monogatari, but Medaka was the wildest ride ever
Tyler Torres
I think he's writing some monogatari spinoffs Also does he write for the bakemonogatari manga? It differs slightly from the anime(could also that it's a more faithful adaptation, though) I think Okitegami Kyouko no bibouroku is still ongoing too
Dylan Ortiz
The whole series just deals with super OP abilities and how they counter each other. It's a bit like "Ha my ability counters all abilities." "Hahaha! My ability counters all ability counters while being classified as a skill so your ability doesn't do shit lolol."
Gabriel Fisher
B-but it's a deconstruction of the shounen genre!
Justin Bennett
As long as you've got the autism for it then it's a great series. Batman vs Superman debates are popular for those who are into that sort of thing.
Kevin Kelly
Because of the rules of that world a Minus cannot defeat a Plus, regardless of the difference in power. That world runs on manga rules: no matter how strong the bad guy is, the good guy will still beat him. But Bookmaker can turn a Plus into a Minus, thus making it possible for Kumagawa to win, in theory.
Julian Torres
If kumagawa won it would destroy the his character and his motives Only thing he can win at is character polls
best couple in the manga. Mukae ship sank unfortunately
Oliver Flores
Didn't he write Juuni taisen or whatever that zodiac battle royale series was?
Jacob Roberts
>Pretentious drivel from start to finish. Pretentious deconstruction of various genres kino from start to finish. Fixed
Asher Roberts
Not Equal arc pays off with that Zenkichi moment
Matthew Rivera
Once again nisio turns the audiences opinion of a charater upside down. How does he do it? It was even more apparent with kaiki than kumagawa since girls will fawn over any bishounen regardless of the actions that he takes, but I did not like Kumagawa at first
Christopher King
He should've gotten with Sleepybutt, damn shame.
Jordan James
It’s a stupid manga. Just enjoy the great Medaka ryona that you’ll be getting soon.
William Collins
sleep girl best girl
Logan Morales
I miss it bros Nothing in Jump remotely looks appealing anymore compared to it I just want a fucking good trainwreck for once, a manga which will be a wild ride
Grayson Ortiz
Does anyone actually like Medaka? It seems like everyone that reads this doesn’t like her.
Julian Morris
shingeki is a trainwreck though
Hunter Stewart
She's too op Nisio made her unlikable, that's her character flaw, she's too perfect. She's the shounen Hanekawa
Owen Reyes
>I just want a fucking good trainwreck for once, a manga which will be a wild ride Have you tried Ingoshima?
Isaac Price
Medaka was a shounen hero. People who wanted to like her because she was hot felt really gay and rejected her while people who wanted to like her because she was a generic (male) shounen protagonist liked her. Most people on Yas Forums are cute/lewdfags so you see a lot of hate around here.
Grayson Johnson
She’s kind of a cunt, and not in a good way either. A character like Satsuki Kiryuin is more likable than Medaka.
Adrian Martin
Kumagawa won in the sense he always lost. He explains it in the end.
Joshua Hughes
I’m not a moefag, I just think Medaka was an unlikable autist.
Sebastian Murphy
So exactly the same as the vast majority of shounen protagonists? Imagine Medaka had no tits and spiky orange hair.
