What are some shonens you genuinely enjoy? No shitposting or anything of the sorts, but an honest and formal answer on the subject.

It was a good adventure.

All in this boxart + YGO

OP here, I unironically adore JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Just One Piece because I feel like modern shonen consistently forsake adventure and romanticism in favor of too much focus on the action, characters, or gimmick.

bump

Konjiki no Gash might be my all time favourite series. Probably about as close to perfect as a shonen series is gonna get.
Shaman King and One Piece have been series I’ve enjoyed since childhood.
And I know it gets a lot of hate but I’m still genuinely enjoying MHA.

Back in the day I liked Inuyasha. FMA is good, too. Nothing from the long running big3 and similar bug shounen titles but I never tried it, so can't really say.

Coolest shonen I've read in years.

Favourite character?

Setting myself up to get clowned on but I do genuinely enjoy Kimetsu no Yaiba... obviously it's not perfect in any way but I feel it does what it's trying to do well. I also like how consistent it's theme of "family" is, with a lot of both slayers and demons relating to that theme in one way or another.
It's strange, but I'm actually hoping it ends soon, because it feels like it's reaching its natural conclusion and extending it beyond that would be forced and would ruin the story.

one piece

Probably a tie between Yuji and Todo

I enjoy Black Clover right now. I don't know if I can say the same about HxH since it's on this hiatus for 2 FUCKING YEARS!!! But I still enjoy it.

Wait it’s been on hiatus for two years? That’s both funny and tragic at the same time.

It missed 63 issues and counting so far.
Not sure how many issues there are in a year.
Longest hiatus was 80 issues.

I do enjoy bnha.

I also still wait for Leorio come back. I'm hopeless. At least Berserk has a chapter in 2 days.

Black Clover. Which is funny since I was definitely among the people on Yas Forums shitting on it when it started and probably shat on it even more when the anime came out.

It's really awesome right now. I hope Vanica will have a good fight.

Yeah, I'm hoping Vanica gets some good chapters to make me like her outside of just being cute. The fight with Dante was enough characterization to make me like him.

The one in your image. Joined the bandwagon on hating it until I decided to watch it. I'm in it for All Might and a few of the side characters, would've been better with a different MC but that's Shonen for you. Hadn't watched any Shonen since the 4kids days until that point, pic related.

I'm a spic, so Saint Seiya

>concluded
fma, soul eater, jojo till it decided to become seinen
>ongoing
jjk, csm, jigokuraku

I think FMA is the only shounen I've genuinely enjoyed from start to end. For most others the interest and enjoyment varies and I just drop it if I can't be bothered anymore, but I think all the big three has genuinely enjoyable parts.
BnHA varies between fun to frustrating to read, but I'm enjoying the current arc.

Ushio to Tora is pretty enjoyable

I can only enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw man right now. Every other shonen just isn't that enjoyable to me.

world trigger is the only current good one
old naruto (first couple of seasons) was pretty good too

Reminder both Berserk and HxH author will never finish their works and will probably die from illness nor old age.

Should add that it's not because I think those 2 series are above anything else, but they just scratch an itch for me.

That'll or they'll rush the ending to he over with it.
