meh, i don't think there is a dishonest animation. If ever the problem is the other way round, animation that for the most, has always looked for ways to have maximum efficiency with the least possible frames.
For this reason, directorial solutions are often chosen to limit characters movements to a minimum, framing like just the legs that walk rather than showing the entire movement of the body. This is great,
but not so much for the animation but for the fact that Rock Lee's body is shown at full fair.
Also AKira today it would be perceived as dishonest animation by idiots, but never uses tricks to limit its animation.
