Compare Naruto Shippuden to any other long running anime ever produced. There is nothing that comes close. The show might have looked mediocre during transition episodes but when it mattered, it reached movie quality as far as animation is concerned. Visual directing was always up there. Pierrot brought in some incredibly talented people to work on the show and they did so consistently for over 10 years. Given how shit every other long running anime looks (even OVAs like Legend of the Galactic Heroes), Naruto was a monumental accomplishment from start to finish.

Pierrot is based.

Narutards don't know how good they have it

this Kakashi vs obito is still one of the best fight and animation ever

Yeah, after rewatching it recently, I honestly have to bump it from a 1/10 to at least a 2/10, maybe 3.

I can't believe I had garbage like MHA rated above this (3-4/10).

Its been 10 years user, you need to remember this.

>he rewatched the 720 episodes long show he rated as 1/10
user what the fuck, it's like a battered wife syndrome

My hero has better animation

I'm watching the Naruto Kai 72 episode recut.

Which does not suddenly make it sound normal, just slightly less insane

Flashy colours aren't better animation

My hero is newer, split into seasons, not a single attempt at artistic value and overall is shit

It's not. I watched all the NGE movies and rated all of them 1/10 too. VLC 2.0x speed exists for a reason (had to go up to 3.0x for NGE tho).

Each episode of Naruto kai is an hour long so that's like 216 episodes

Given how most people here judge Naruto by herd mentality and personal disdain stemming from memory full of a holes, it might be a productive undertaking for you people to ACTUALLY watch the show for once.

2.0x and I still skip 90% of Naruto parts (anything that involves Naruto training or monologuing).

The shittiest arc of naruto is the final one, no need for a rewatch.

>VLC 2.0x speed exists for a reason (had to go up to 3.0x for NGE tho)
Are you braindead or something?

More like your tiny brain cannot handle it.

The Naruto anime could have been so much better if pierrot didn't waste so much time and resources on animating over 300 filler episodes

The series still should have ended shortly after the pain arc though, or it would have helped if WSJ game Kishi some time to refine the material instead of shitting out that cheesefest war arc. I just recently tried rewatching Naruto again during this corona lockdown and had to stop (once again) shortly after sasuke vs danzo...There's so much I dislike with the series past that point that I don't even have the energy or motivation or inherent cynicism to bother hating on it

YGO at least before the current series that switched studios from Gallop consistently had good production values across all seasons (debatably minus Zero which was Toei's doing).

Tell me: what is the point of watching something at that speed? What do you get out of it?

The War arc is better than the kazekage rescue arc and the bridge arc.

Or the movies, imagine if every sakuga scene in the movies was instead given to the show.

Oh, user.

>he show might have looked mediocre during transition episodes
So 99% of episodes
>but when it mattered, it reached movie quality as far as animation is concerned.
Try watching a movie sometime before you make inane statements like that.

>Toei's
Fuck Toei, the worst company in the entire Industry and i wish that the arson had attacked them instead

it does sound retarded..might aswell just read the manga if you're gonna watch something with such a smoothbrain attitude towards it

I don't understand the logic behind watching something at an increased playspeed unless you're doing a rewatch. I THINK I understand why some people do that to themselves but it's super silly and small minded

>The War arc is better than the kazekage rescue arc and the bridge arc

I disagree - just because it's longer doesn't make it better...Hell there's nothing as good as Sasura/Chiyo vs Sasori during the entire war arc

I also strongly dislike Kakashi vs Obito and Madara dabbing on the fodder shinobis

>what is the point of watching something at that speed?
The mere fact that you're asking this question proves you are a drooling retard who doesn't know what it feels like. I bet you think it changes the pitch and makes everyone talk like a smurf.

Most things should be watched by 1.5 on default. 1.0 and 1.5 speed is basically indistinguishable. I only watch 9-10/10 things on 1.0x speed (for anime that is currently airing 7/10 is fine too). 2.0x is appropriate for most below 7/10 garbage.

You get the same experience just with less time waste.

What? I really cant help it - I try to enjoy it for what it is and there are some parts that I do like but it's just not as consistently good as earlier arcs. It's like I'm actually able to get immersed in the series at earlier points but during the war arc there's something breaking my immersion every 5 minutes. I do appreciate that it exists but I cant force myself to like it / am just completely unable to enjoy it in its entirety like I can the previous material

Why is shinji such a little gay pervert

Why force yourself to watch something if you don't even enjoy it? Part of a viewing experience is soaking in and basking in the atmosphere of the work but when you watch it like that it kind of kills the mood of the whole thing..I get that a lot of shows have a lot of mundane sections where they kind of just go through the motions to get to the next big part but there's still something offputting about viewing a series that way...like you might aswell just watch a highlight reel on youtube or read the manga at that point. The idea of even constantly adjusting the playspeed is sort of immersion breaking

He's completely surrounded by 10/10s all day every day and doesn't know how to handle it

Tiny brain. A real critic like me watches everything, even overrated garbage like your favorite anime.
