nah these sumo guys aren't even "fighters" they're athletes like ali jr was. I expect doppo and hanayama to have much faster fights. shibukawa was just messing around and freindly grappling for like 6/9 of the chapters in the fight

Finally finished watching all Baki anime.
Baki gets really boring and became one of the worst character in his own anime.
Yujiro is a backseating asshole. He's always there where he doesn't belong to meddle in something that has absolutely nothing to do with him. It's like he's internally screaming "ME! ME! ME! PAY ATTENTION TO ME!" like Sephiroth in FF7R.
Both Baki and Yujiro were only great in childhood arc. Baki had actual personality back then and Yujiro was actually relevant to the plot.
Maximum tournament arc was quite boring, but I'm glad it happened since it introduced bunch of great side-characters.

Yeah I guess you're right. I feel it's between Doppo and Hanayama for someone having to lose and considering the latter lost in Musashi Dou I guess it's time for Doppo to take one for the team.

did you watch the old one too? pretty good taste in charcters though. baki gets a ton of character development after the convict arc. I'd recomend continuing the manga
sukune is probably S tier considering he beat oliva and can turn coal to diamond. which we don't even know if yujiro can do

We don't know yet the limits of his power, but it's implied that he is even stronger than Yuujiro. He was able to create a miracle even impossible for someone like Yuujiro, to transform coal into diamond.

Convict arc was also very good because many side-characters were able to shine like Katou, Suedo, Kosho etc
I just finished Muhammad Ali Jr arc, which was dogshit. Yujiro's respect towards M.Ali was so out of character too and it's obvious that it's the mangaka that was a huge fan of Ali and wanted to dicksuck him in manga form.
At least reading chinks getting BTFO'd in their own tournament was satisfying.

Nah, Yuujiro just breaks the coal and the glass table. He mentions that man made diamonsd are not something that exists. His response his powerful and clear, which leads to Obama to believe he could, but Yuujiro doesn't have a reason to lie about something like that. The coal into diamond is something impossible, even for him.
Baki also mentions at the end of Musashi Dou the idea of his dad being able to transform coal into diamond is just a rumor. One of the many the Ogre has, but something that's not real.
