This is easily one of the worst shonen I ever watched and the fact that it received so much hype just proves once again how dead this board really is. It seems like it's just so easy for garbage to become popular now, there's just no standards anymore, these zoomers have just completely ruined shonen with their horrible taste. All a shonen needs in order to be good for you losers is: pretty colors, waifus and mindless action, that's it, it just needs to be edgy have waifus, pretty colors and you're sold. I'm tired to see shonen in ruins due to you casuals consuming nothing but trash, you consume this trash and then the creator says ''well they liked it so we'll continue to make more'' and it just keeps on going.
The story is boring, generic, predictable shonen garbage, just some generic goodie two-shoes seen in every other shonen that comes home to find his family has been brutally murdered by demons and the only surviving person is his sister due to plot armor. That's it, there's no depth to this story, there's nothing interesting about this story. If you watched any other shonen then you've already seen this anime. It takes every shonen trope and throws it in here, every idea from every other shonen and just throws it in here. It's a rip-off of Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, just so many shonen series that this anime has ripped off. The creator went ''Let's sprinkle a little bit of this and a little bit of that on there and we'll have an awesome series!'' while writing. Take so many elements from so many different series and you don't create anything original. This series doesn't have anything original going for it it, has not an inch of creativity.
I swear shonen continues to get worse and worse, it's so bad, anyone over the age of 12 that still likes shonen is a complete loser. I seriously cannot believe we have grown men still hyping up things made for kids on Yas Forums. Pathetic, unbelievable.

I really like it because the fights look pretty cool and there isn't much filler. The only noticeable filler was the whole healing part but the entire manga feels like a very compact plot with a certain ending. Most stories just carry on forever, I like bnha but its infinite and i just dont have passion for it anymore. Like hell am I going to read a manga that has been going on for 20 years.

Rushed the manga last weekend. Honestly, it's just... ok. A ltos of cliches and tropes that we have seen thousand times, but It's so light-hearted and honest with itself. I think this is part of the reason of the success, outside the anime.
Didn't read Black Clover yet, but it's like KnY have a solid line between ,7,0 and 7,5. While MHA, for example, alternate between 8,0 and 4,0.
The fights are not good. And that's what you losers go into shonen for, you go into shonen for the fights. This series doesn't even have good fights, the fights are terrible, there's no strategy involved, the main character has these broken abilities that he just spams over and over again and he wins. Everybody else is getting wrecked by these powerful demons, he just comes out of nowhere and just wrecks them. There's no sense of danger, there's no sense of suspense cause you know how it's gonna happen already. You know how it's gonna end. Terrible. The demons aren't even threatening, that's the thing. And the demons make no sense because they're more like zombies to where if you get bitten by a demon you turn into a demon, that's not how demons work: demons possess people. Nothing makes sense in this anime at all.

Read this up to red light district a few weeks ago and it gets old quick. Every villain is one-dimensional and characters are constantly rambling about how they need to breathe harder or how many ribs they've broken, making each fight an absolute chore to go through. You have to be a mindless drone to enjoy this shit.

I agree that the fights don't feel as tense as they should though, Tanjiro is literally talking about how he's broken whatever part of his body but then he uses muh willpower and continues to pull off some crazy move. Flashbacks are hell too, it reminds me of Naruto's use of flashbacks.

His whole goal is nothing but become a demon slayer so he can fight demons while trying to find out how to turn his sister back into normal because she's like a demon but she's not like your typical demon and different: it's stupid. It's just really stupid, it's unbelievable, there's nothing interesting about this story: you got your typical training arc where he's training trying to go to this academy. Always got the academy, always got the school, always got the tests, always got the trials. So he's training, he's trying to go to this school, he becomes a demon slayer even though - and this is another unrealistic theme, this character sucks, there's no way you can look at this character and say ''Oh man, he's gonna become something interesting'' - he just has everything handed to him due to plot convenience, he has everything handed to him due to the typical shonen trash of ''I never give up and things go my way!''. He doesn't work for anything, he trained for a while and his training was trash, he didn't even do anything to train: he just sat there all the time while crying about his sister, this is all he does.
