I finished reading Goodnight Punpun recently and I really liked it. someone please talk about with me please please please
Goodnight Punpun
It's ok.
Remember to follow the example of the childhood friend
It was really hot when the older woman (I don't remember exactly who, I read it years ago) fucked with him when he was 14. I fapped to that.
Off the top of my head, I honestly can't think of a better coming of age story
hi! u got any social media or email? :)
Do I have any chance of liking this if I thought Solanin was a terrible mawkish manga for cornballs?
>Punpun's aunt NTRs her husband with Punpun because her husband is NTRing her.
His entire family is trash. The fact she even brought him a phone to keep in contact with him just makes it way worse
10 years ago or so punpun was pretty popular on Yas Forums but since then it got popular with normies and ironic weebs so people here like to shit on it now.
Your standarts for decent human being are too high, people NTR each other like nothing and its completely fine
a spanish youtuber recommended it years ago
it's been in my kokoro ever since
god damn that was a ride, it's not everyday you get to experience something so good
I'm glad I read it while in my high school years, otherwise I may not have enjoyed it as much
You should start up Asano's newer series. If you liked Punpun there's stuff in there you'll appreciate.
I've been putting this off for a decade
I know you're right but I'm keeping my standards where they are. If I lower the standards for what is acceptable then I'm just lowering myself to other people's level.
>spanish youtuber

New dedede when?? I need moar
Aiko.
love this one
you could just do yourself a solid and simply kill yourself
I couldn't identify with punpun at all. Fucking tard deserved what he got.
To be complete honest it wasn't his best work. I think Asano was pratty lazy, pretty sure he peaked while writing and drawing that other manga that can't remember the name but some guy was fucking a girl and he eat it her poop.
This, its like he had some kind if autism.
I don't think you have to. Some people will and others won't but that's not the point. Punpun is a scumbag and a genuinely bad person and deserves the bad end he got.
I think his early chilhood phase is meant to be fairly relatable, but after that you're watching his steady decline into degeneracy and self-hating narcissism. Although it is relatable to some people as well, which is part of the appeal. It's similar to Dazai's novel "No Longer Human" in that regard, i.e. his misfortune is his fault.
I don't think getting raped by your aunt is fairly relatable. Also it's been a long time since I read the manga, what was the deal with his dad? I remember the last time he tried to make up with Punpun and left crying which was sad, but I remember him also being really forgetful? Was there a reason why he seemed to keep forgetting things?
Punpun got too good of a end. It made me hate the story.
I remember when the hanging chapter was spoiled in a OPT thread of all places.
It was great.
Feels like it's getting near the end.
Plot wise I'm liking it a lot more than Punpun. Feels more thought out.
I don't think you're supposed to honestly. The guy never really puts any real effort in to better his situation.
I feel people identify a little too much with Punpun and see him as some sort of hero of the story or something.
I dont like solanin but love Pun Pun
What if I identify with him and don't consider him a hero?
t. person who browses 4channel
I don't believe you.
Maybe. Both Punpun and Solanin are shit for different reasons, but as you can see, people love this shit.
A Girl on the Shore? I feel like Asano is so close to pumping out an actual masterpiece, but he keeps pumping out flaccid shit. The guy is talented.
It got super popular with the Tumblr crowd. Sad bois and "nerdy" women have Punpun tattoos.
Then that's good.
