In the end, Yuuki Yuuna truly was a hero

Until she decided to become god's cocksleeve for no reason.

But can she do it on a cold rainy night in Stoke?

I want to have sex with itsuki with her sister watching us

For what purpose if she can't make any noises during sex?

How did the story end? I only watched the Washio and original YYY

Why do you have to shitpost in every thread?

This unironically

Does that counts as cucking?

Wanna make retarded babies with Snok

I'm at episode 8 rn. Is this anime just about feeling bad for high school girls? The environment they fight in feels so disconnected from reality that I can't give a shit about it. And them paying with their bodily functions for the powers just seems so artificial and asspulled. It's like a deus ex machina kick in the shins instead of an actual sad story. Does this get better later?

>high school girls
Middle school

she punched real hard but it wasn't enough so she punched even harder until the entire universe fixed itself

>Does this get better later?
No it's fucking trash and everyone who thinks it's better than Madoka is a low IQ individual

>The environment they fight in feels so disconnected from reality
Damage to the battlefield has direct and massive consequences on the world i think the first was a massive fire or some such thing.
>just seems so artificial
It is the basis of divine contracts you give up something important to gain overwhelming power, also it's just plain a massive fuck you from the snake god because he is an asshole.
>instead of an actual sad story
You are literally a cold hearted monster.

low IQ individual spotted

>yy is better because it has """better character development""

>yy is better because it has character development

no it just gets worse and worse as it goes on
I was genuinely rooting for the worst possible ending bc I hated everyone by the end point

I didn't mean that it's literally disconnected from reality, when they explicitly state that it is connected and the connection is shown. I meant that the artistic design and the way the author decided to handle the battlefield feels soulless and cheap.
>you get the magic cellphone that teleports you to the visually barren magic root realm where you fight oddly designed floating alien monsters
And don't get me wrong, I did feel miserable when they got fucked over by the Taisha and the Shinju, and were trying to handle their sudden disabilities. Except the shitty way in which the whole magical girl system was designed is a massive detriment to the promising concept that the anime is trying to show and it really takes away from the feels this show could have. It also makes the action sequences painful to watch, but thats beside the point here.

Try to pay attention to the lore and world building. Also having some knowledge about Shinto mythology helps, bodily sacrifices in exchange for power are rooted in myth.
But ultimately it's a character driven show, if you aren't feeling connected to the characters then it isn't for you.

user, one note cardboard cutouts going through run of the mill SoL tropes is not good character development. You may have trouble connecting to ideologies dressed up as characters, but the entire point of the show is to demonstrate how those characters change within that paradigm.

>Except the shitty way in which the whole magical girl system was designed
This is actually version 3 or 4 of the system, I advise you to watch the prequel "WaSuYu" to understand a bit how the system evolved from the previous gen, and why it was designed that way.
Also read NoWaYu if you want to full invest in the series.

Not better than Madoka but a good homage. Much better than the dumpster mobage spin-off.

This is a good moment to pause watching YuYuYu and watch WaSuYu instead for a change in optics.

Maybe I'll post some cute Yuuna's along with my posts.

I wouldn't say by much, but I will definitely agree to that. The amount of people praising MR was baffling to me.

hot damn why do I have so much lewd art of this show

spoiler: heroic ass

>Does this get better later?
Yes. YuYuYu is a series that's greater than the sum if its parts. The more you read and watch from it, the better you get to understand the bigger picture and overall message and appreciate the 300 years of history the story has.

You should watch the rest, it's only 6 episodes and has a good deal of character development (and suffering) for Yuuna, plus the greatest punch in recent Mahou Shoujo history.

also I have no clue why both shows failed so poorly at the whole show-don't-tell principal

YuYu: Hey guys I just tried killing myself. Like several times in a row. Super shocking stuff I know. What's that? You guys aren't questioning my sanity? Huh okay, anyway here's next episode, let's show you all those super shocking scenes again despite you knowing what happens"

Magia: Hey guys I know you, the audience, already know the plot of the original show. But let's have the characters sit down and watch a SLIDESHOW telling them about it. Super shocking stuff I know. And then literally 20 seconds later, let's show the exact same thing by going through someone's memories. Neat right?

Madoka suffered a lot from exposition dumps as well, some episodes had a lot of talking heads and QB rambling about for half of it.
