What's the point of arguing semantics? Seasonal watchers usually have a consistent schedule they adhere to. The point is that I broke out of the cycle of forcing myself to watch seasonal anime and only pick up a show if it looks interesting, usually weeks after its initial release. Most of the industry is just incomplete adaptations now anyways, just read the source materials instead.

I really wanted to like this, but I genuinely struggled to give a shit about her or Kurou. They weren't incredibly likable or dynamic characters, so it made it hard to appreciate what I did like about the yokai and mystery. It was disappointing.

IDK how, i liked Kotoko right off the bat - they had a mature theme to it - Kotoko is 17/18 i think, while Kuro is in his early 20's and then there's a time skip after which makes them a bit more mature - while there are the odd gags - they are adults - and they do act like it - it's hard to accept but adults, most of them throw away their childlike behavior in favor of a more professional one - it isnt the case here, they're just mature is all - i can see why they may come off as a bit dry/ stale when shun along Kaguya sama or the likes of Kono Subarashii

I watched one episode and it was a vaguely supernatural themed show about two fags talking to one another while very little happened. All reports suggest it dragged out for the whole show. And it was still last season, buy a fucking calendar already.

Listen user, it is a SOL first and supernatural show second - it's def AOTS material due to non-traditional storytelling, unique characters and designs - mature yet realistic, and well stylized premise

Not OP, but Bakarina is the only good one. Priconne is okay but mostly held up by decent animation. Kumeta's humour doesn't work for me at all. Bookloli and Kaguya I already dropped, and ToG is kimchee flavoured shounenshit.
Nami yo, Fishing, and Digimon are better than most of those shows.
