>shizou and orihara don't
why would fujos care about the rest, those two make up like 60-70% of the fanart anyway
shizou got prime russian pussy and loli girlfriend
Hello ladies it is us, better character-pair from better series
Baccano novels are good, anime is meh
Was I supposed to like this character? Because it felt like he was set up to be the asshole antihero that you can't help liking but to me he was just an annoying sod. I cheered whenever he got BTFO
Its music carried it and the dub is better than the sub
is this worth watching if I enjoyed baccano
Its got some Baccano easter eggs in the background occasionally but otherwise, no
The two series don't really feel very similar imo and the music is nowhere near as good
The structure is the same, as in apparently random people doing random things will turn out to lead them to a conclusion where they all meet.
Other than that the themes are not the same but honestly it is still very similar because of what I said, Narita works could be about buying tomatoes and it would still be awesome because character interaction and dialogue is the main focus
Whenever there is a DRRR thread there is always a Baccanofag or two whining about how inferior it is to Baccano and why nips have shit taste for not liking Baccano enough to give it multiple seasons as well. So the answer to your question is probably no.
What are you talking about, they're from Durarara too.
That's because there aren't any other anime like Baccano. It's the only anime I can think of that has a "jazzy" tone to it. The music, setting and characterization all comes together to form something unique. Durarara is okay, but its setting, characters and tone are way more standard than Baccano's are. Where Baccano feels like an authentic 30s gangster comedy, Durarara is mostly a generic Japanese slice of life with some supernatural stuff happening in the background.
The only other series I can think of that is similar to it in tone and style is Cowboy Bebop, and then only occasionally
the anime is great but the novels are better. Drugs and The Dominos is the only place the anime really drops the ball.
I'd say yes. Season 1 is great, season 2 is okay but it adapted 10 novels in 39 episodes so it doesn't have as any where near as much time to breath as season 1 does.
Durarara also almost always pussies around the darker aspects of the show. Oh, there is some crazy guy going around Ikebukoro and cutting people up with a katana? Dont worry, no one dies, they just go to the hospital. Meanwhile one of the first things you see in Baccano is a kid getting his head shot of.
I enjoyed it a lot more than baccano, the urban setting with gangs and supernatural is great and the characters are way more fun. Also Durarara does the narrative style of multiple perspectives a lot better too
This but it's the complete opposite.
Like another user said it's similar in structure but the setting is different. I think it's worth it, try a few episodes to see if you like it.
