Let's be real though; She's the MC and as such there is a 99% chance she won't die, or even be injured.
But the author has executed twists well enough that there is at least some sense of tension. (And there's enough mystery around what ghosts can do that what's decided probably won't feel like an ass-pull.)
I personally think she gets a minor curse that binds her into service or she's partially possessed by one of the guardians.
