why do people want the hero of the manga to fail? eren is trying to save his friends. why would you guys want him to fail?
Why do people want the hero of the manga to fail? eren is trying to save his friends...
>eren is trying to save his friends
His friends want him to fail
If he cares about his friends then he should let them win.
Because he said mean things to Armin/Mikasa
So the other nations can continue their campaign of genocide against Paradis?
If your country was getting nuked because of "atrocities" it allegedly committed a century ago, would you fire nukes back at your attacker, or not?
if he lets his friends win then his friends will die. also the way i see it if the alliance wins everything that has happened on paradis was meaningless
Eren isn't free; Eren is scared of not being free. Look at how emotional he gets once accused of being a slave. Insecurity fuels his growth, not desire.
That being said, Team Genocide signing in.
>Eren believes the future can't be changed
>The alliance is going to prove him wrong
You'd have to be blind not to see where this is heading
eren is a slave to time if anything. he needs to make sure everything he saw in through grisha's eyes keeps happening. Since it seems that everything is on track so far i would say eren is a slave to himself.
yes the alliance is going to be able to stop eren's mecha titan with words bravo alliancefags
>y-y-you are a slave to Zeke!
How did Eren not start laughing after that?
The alliance reach erenosaurus's nape only to find unconscious zake
They beat him to wake him up
Zake told them that this is ymir's will and eren is not here
Eren using path, talk to the alliance that the rumbling is unstoppable and good luck on convincing ymir to change her mind
Meanwhile the alliance is still wondering why eren and zake talking about ymir the dead jaw titan
I still think Mikasa is going to kill Eren
>eren is a slave to time if anything.
Disagree. That's the one thing he's free from and actually the source of his Chaddery. He is so comfortable in his faith of the future that he was willing to invade Marley by himself. His confidence is: 'No matter what, this will happen.' That's why he didn't force Ymir to do anything: he broke his chains and gave her a choice; his sureness in destiny in strong. I'd say he's a scared and traumatized man doing the best he can with the power he has. True freedom however is internal and does not require the decimation of all life to achieve.
>Meanwhile the alliance is still wondering why eren and zake talking about ymir the dead jaw titan
AMJC cant do anything to hurt eren at this point. not even RA could hurt him at this point. eren could already control reiner's hardening im sure there are other things he can control when it comes to shifters.
>AMJC cant do anything to hurt eren at this point
You think AM (leaving JC out because they obviously won't be in the final battle) won't be able to enter PATHS somehow?
Also, Mikasa is an Ackerman so Eren can't probably do anything to her anyway. The see you later scene has to still happen too.
AM entering PATHS would be a total asspull. even if they did what would that change? time in PATHS is not relative to the real world so they could spend all day talking to eren in there and nothing will change. If eren's slave theory is right then mikasa cant even fight against eren. I'm still interested in knowing what the see you later scene is about. god i just want this shit to be over with
>AMJC cant do anything to hurt eren at this point. not even RA could hurt him at this point. eren could already control reiner's hardening im sure there are other things he can control when it comes to shifters.
Except that they got the power of friendship and Armong's plot armor
>AM entering PATHS would be a total asspull.
>asspull
Remember Armor braun vial? Besides, Armong is a shifter and Mikasa is an Ackerman, I'm sure Isayama can pull something out of his ass
He's a much better leader than Floch anyway
Yet Floch is the one that got hundreds of soldiers to follow him into defecting from the military, has got a plan for a post-rumbling world and has lots of fodder under his command while Jean only has his bffs.
>AMJC cant do anything to hurt eren at this point. not even RA could hurt him at this point.
The idea that Eren is completely invulnerable makes no narrative sense. They are not going to have the core cast fly out to Eren only to find they can't do anything to him, that would make everything a huge waste of time. He will have weak points that will be exploited, asspull or otherwise.
>eren could already control reiner's hardening im sure there are other things he can control when it comes to shifters.
Eren got rid of Reiner's hardening by getting rid of all hardening in the world (and even then Reiner got it back the next time he transformed), any influence he can exert has to affect everything, and that restricts what he can do.
>to follow him
They were following Eren. They're the Yeagerists not the Forsterists.
>They are not going to have the core cast fly out to Eren only to find they can't do anything to him, that would make everything a huge waste of time.
But this is exactly what is going to happen. the alliance has already acknowledged that they dont have a way to stop eren.
They don't know of a way to stop him yet, but that doesn't mean none exists, and they will obviously find one along the way. Zeke for example is likely still with Eren and that means being in contact with him is probably necessary to maintain control of the coordinate, so if they separate Zeke from Eren that could disrupt his control.
Yet Isayama is still unintentionally having Floch show better leadership skills than just giving out orders in a battlefield.
i still dont get why isayama chose to make floch job after making a big reveal like this. i hope he gets payback
>i still dont get why isayama chose to make floch job after making a big reveal like this.
He jobbed to the old lady so fans like Kiyomi despite how much she fucked up stuff for Paradis. And Floch's only job right now is to job to the alliance to show them come together as unlikely allies, it's just that he is coming off as a competent leader and threat against underwhelming odds because they need the combined plot armor of 14 main characters to stand a chance against Floch and an army of fodder.
So the either The Alliance looks like losers or like maniacs killing rookies who only want to keep their nation safe.
I hate the "jobbing to move the plot" convenience that is so common in a lot of stories. It is pretty obvious that its lazy writing on isyama's end, I wish this trend would die already.
who said we want him to fail?
Because Floch is intended to be seen as a pathetic character? He talks a big game but is ultimately incapable of backing it up. He is constantly shown to be weak, cowardly, and incompetent .
>He is constantly shown to be weak, cowardly, and incompetent .
when? floch was the only one who spoke the truth to EMA after erwin died.
It really is a waste of time, have the Cart titan take floch we could have had a more interesting forest scene, besides Kiyomi also fucked Paradis badly
He's jobbed in every battle he's been in though.
>In Liberio he was busy setting fire to random buildings instead of properly fighting
>In Shiganshina he hid himself instead of properly fighting Pieck and Magath
This is like in those movies for women they make the attractive girl with big boobs dumb or a bad person to make their target feel better: cheap and lazy. There should be more profiles of normal people simply not wanting to die
I'm not saying Floch has to be the best but this is literally punishing some people for finding Floch more interesting than Magath, it's like the author is forcing you to like the alliance
>I hate the "jobbing to move the plot" convenience
Every character has suffered that post-timeskip one way or another. See how 11/10 characters like Hange have failed to come up with a solution, how Armin was busy "having fun" instead of coming up with a solution and repeat ad infinitum with every character except Zeke and Eren.
Floch has been great since chapter 90. he is the only one who spoke the truth here
Yup. Floch is the truth teller which is a hated role but always an essential one. Levi should've been something like this for the other side but...
How come we haven't seen more people complaining about Armin? Man Armin is such a non character
Hange complained after serumbowl
im still pissed that levi let armin live over erwin makes no sense.
armin is a non character people feel bad for because hes so useless. he doesnt do anything and is written to be pretty pathetic.
floch is an essential part of the story. without him the alliance would think that they are doing the right thing by trying to spot eren.
>spot
