The way they butchered Elder Centipede hurts me so fucking much

What IS ONE doing as a job? He finished Mob and Murata is pretty much handling most of the work since he's making the original webcomic longer under the instructions of ONE. But the freedom he seems to have unless corrected by ONE seems big.

There are too many scenes that were butchered. Even the good looking parts are ruined by bad sound design, the blurs and how there is no real consistent flow with it.
I think he was fine but the purple color doesnt fit him and the fact they never mention how he grew bigger after the bang and bomb combo. The serious punch was laughable.

Suiryu vs the monsters was the moment I wanted to see the most.. Especially offensive considering the animators worked extra hard but the studio still made some cuts and made it look worse for some reason

Dont know specifically but he is sitll doing drafts for the manga and any changes murata wants they discuss and is One approved if it makes it to the manga. I think there is an editor too invovled.
Yeah his cgi was better than expected but still fell in pitfalls that japan's cgi falls in especially with how he barely interacts with the environment.
Its not Madhouse its just that JC staff had a shit staff, rushed production and no talent besides Aoki. Also there was some meddling by jc staff themselves when it came to edited freelancer parts like suiryu vs choze.

Yeah J.C. fucking suck. At least we had legends like Aoki single-handedly carrying the show. The man's work felt season 1-tier.

OPM S1 was a literal miracle so I don't have high hopes for the future.
But honestly? I don't mind. The manga is on a completely different level so I kinda don't need the anime. I wish it had better pacing and consistent updates though.

The one thing that genuinely surprised me was Senior Centipede's CGI being genuinely great. sakugabooru.com/post/show/109107
Fit the look of the show perfectly and was animated pretty damn nicely with smears somehow.

this is one of the better ones and yet it still suffers from dogshit SFX, ghosting, and unironically missing key frames during significant moments (not following through with punches etc)

S2 astounds me with how fucking bad it is

The OP is quite nice

in a world where we complain about interesting characters being introduced all the time and not doing nothing, I for once am glad OPM bothers to display their characters and let them have at least one super cool fight. When it comes to monsters, Saitama is a character left for the climax.
That reminds me how in the game, they added a mod where you have to endure until Saitama arrives and I thought it was such a brilliant mechanic

I think it might be size. Since he was smaller he was easier to make then Elder whos a city sized monster and its more easier to catch the cg.
As I said before the good parts are ruined by those three things you mentioned. Also if you notice there is no flow to it like s1. In s1 not only were the fights consistently good but also had a flow to it while s2 it shifts between looking ok and good to dog shit in the same fight.

The coloring in s2 is all kinds of fucked up. Its not vibrant like s1 and instead all muddled. Also Orochi anime versions pisses me off how shit it was and the color makes no sense.
