Dropped the ball with the ending, the anime starts gong to shit the moment Bones is doing their Bones original shit. It's still pretty cool though.

Anime was better than the manga until they outpaced the manga.
Manga should have ended with them getting Crona off the moon.
In fact, the author should have made "Soul Eater: The Older Adventures of" rather than Fire Force. I actually liked the Soul Eater Cast.

In the case of fma, 2003 only adapted like 1/3rd of the series, while the bones adaptation covert like 80%

Great until Bones passed the manga, like FMA. However it was written worse than FMA throughout and a lot of the animation was lackluster. Decent voice work too.

Great world. Good characters. Nice style. Okay humor. Pretty neat lore and power system. Disappointing endings in both manga and anime. Still enjoyable though. Easy 7.5/10 and worth the watch/read

I really liked the characters and world Okubo created. Kind of dark and creepy yet humorous setting was what got me at that time. Fitting music themes and overall well done show. I'm a bit sentimental - it was the show that got me into the medium for real and it will always be one of my favorites. I'm glad it made me dwell in this world.

The manga ending feels rushed and the anime ending I don't care for. Still, it's of my favorite series and I give it a reread at least once a year.
Would rather a continuation than more Fire Force. The cast and world are boring in comparison.
