user...

The movie flopped hard

nobody on earth remembers or mentions FF:Unlimited so there you go

There have been multiple and they were all SHIT

Here you go user. I dare you to watch the entire thing.

What movie? They made a few by now ...

Or the 90s OVAs.

Bad, looking back most of them have terrible plots, character motivations, and endings. Of the 3D era, 7 and 9 are the only remotely decent and it's because the SD artstyle fits the tone.

advent children literally isn't even that bad

I actually like advent children, I dont really know what the fuss was all about. I meant atleast it ended with a definitely conclusion, not with an open end like those other Nomura shitfest.

I love ffv I watched this shortly after I beat it. It wasnt very good.

Holy fuck you're new

FF is one of those things that's more of a label than a series. I honestly wouldn't know what it would end up like given the track record. I guess the closest you'd get would be the DQV movie excluding the ending, but FF would be hard to pin down.

How are you enjoying Remake so far, Yas Forums?

Pretty badly. FF as a whole runs on video game logic. It wholeheartedly embraces that video game logic, but when you try to move it into other mediums things get loopy quickly.
Like how, exactly, do any of the villains actually get defeated? They get defeated in an RPG battle, of course. But what precisely was the means that Kefka got defeated when he was an almighty god of magic towering over the party? What actually happens, speaking physically, when Squall challenged Ultimecia in the middle of Time Compression? How does hitting them with bits of metal stop these gods, honestly? It's an exciting video game final boss fight, but it holds no logic whatsoever; that's fine, because they're not writing a book. Or an anime. When Sephiroth unleashes his solar system obliterating Supernova attack, it only deals % damage so it's okay for you to survive that.. in a battle.
The only time it truly makes sense for everything you see on screen to work in another medium is Ardyn, who has the exact same powers as Noctis and was basically a cutscene boss anyway. An FFXV anime could work, except it'd be a little boring without all the filler that FFXV was stuffed with.
So much stuff has to be made up whole cloth and retrofitted to the video game from FF that it doesn't work out well.

there's definitely a few shitty nomura moments, but the combat is great and it's a genuinely fun game so far.

I love it. Especially what they did with Aerith and Barret, their characterization were all well groomed.
Atleast most of Nomura shit are saved at the part instead of 90% of the game. I dont think it's too bad or good in anyway, for now it's just there to tell you that "this remake story might be different" and that's pretty much it. This main premise and plot structure is still intact so far. I was almost afraid that we were going to stuck in Midgard.

I'm mildly spooked because I've been playing FFT WoL these last few days, for the first time.

8

Solid 9 if it wasn't for the nomurashit + padding

Nobody seems to remember that this existed. And that's how it should be.

XV plot and world building sucks as a whole.

It kind of shits on the lore and it made Cloud more angsty than he is. I still enjoy it though.

The Spirits Within made me cry at the end

i was 10

The world's fine, I think. The plot was just sort of boring because of how much of it was coasting around looking for the royal arms and the jarring timeskip.

I broke down at Crisis Core ending. I was in my early teens.

Good choice really great game, try Tactics Ogre next Really great game too.

I will, I really like the job system so I was drawn to it.

All I remember is
>It has moved.

It falls well into the realm of nostalgia for me.

I do.

There's already plenty of anime that at least hit the general plot beats of a FF game. How many anime go relatively normal for 12 episodes only to have the finale explode in scale and trippiness?

I want to play FFT but my brain is too pea-sized and it hurts

she's cute

I personally got invested the thrid time I tried getting into it, I got overwhelmed the first two times. It's great but it's frustratingly difficult for the first few hours (notably some battles in chapter one are like a fire baptism) but it gets progressively easier as you learn abilities and get the hang of the mechanics. It spikes again for the endgame stuff.
The the game can be played and completed however you like it, there's no need to min-max and all that jazz unless you're into that sort of thing, you can become stupid overpowered if you wish.
