Just finished the popularity contest arc. It's my go to anime to fill some time at the moment.

I like Gintama but it only in small doses, the repetitive toilet humor gets boring after a while.

I find Galaxy Angel is a much more balanced comedy anime.

Haven't seen Gintama since temporarily dropping the arc that adapted the missing comedy chapters, id began realizing a decrease in the anime in the Raikkyou arc, should I pick it back up it was my favorite anime but I really disliked the unadapted comedy chapters

Pretty good actually, paid decent homage to every characters met along the way, did a few last gags, ended on a positive though slightly melancholic note, until you realize that they're doing a parody of "final chapter of a manga" so obviously it ends on a positive note.
