Casshern Sins

I'm 4 episodes in and I'm pretty sure I'm going to drop this. Is this the right decision?

No

Drop it. You got filtered.

There's no chance you're gonna like it if this is how you feel after 4 eps. Drop it and go back to Yas Forums or whatever.

No taste.

How can I be sure you are all good anime posters and not just taking a quick break from one of the permanent bad generals

It doesn't get better. The hightlight of the show is episode 2.
The story is nonsensical even when the plot kicks in. It's like they prepared a story with good setting, themes, ideas, characters and music, and then gave all that work to some 15 year old who thinks he's deep to write the actual scripts.

I got filtered, but I can still clearly remember all the memorable dialogue:

casshern....

....

lyuze....

....

casshern....

....

....

....

casshern....

I just found this quote in a review
>Casshern Sins is one of those series which will either quickly fascinate you or quickly turn you off.
Maybe it is time to let it go and join the ranks of the filtered. I may have to use this series as a litmus test if someone recommends something because it seems there's a pretty clear divide on opinions.

Might as well just watch Kikaider.

>the sun who was called moon
deep as fuck, bro
super deep

As someone who watched the entire show, it's one of those things people pretend to like to feel smart because it's slow paced and artistic, but that have no true substance.

CASHAAAAAAN KOROSEEEEEE

NE IMA
DOUSHITE BOKURA
UMARETA NO?

No OP, you drop it at the last episode. The beginning is where Casshern is good wtf

I dropped it right in the middle, at first I quite liked the show, but eventually lost interest

This. Things like Casshern, Kikaider, 008 and the likes have this ambiguous writing where the MCs are always some kind of amnesiac cyborg/android trying to figure out their purpose or humanity or some shit, and the author never knows what the fuck they're trying to say, so they kind of Poochie the ending without any real closure, and some people try to pretend they "get it" just like "you dont get evangelion, it's too deep."

There's something to get about Eva, though. That show is consantly talking about its themes. Casshern Sins on the other hand uses the aesthetic of deepness to say nothing.

It starts off good, for all intents and purposes. The world building is pretty solid, until they try to add in a plot, it gets retarded. If they never added a plot, it would've been a good show

It's a hit or miss. If you aren't completely into it you'll drop it. like art pop.

I'm not any of those guys, but you can like the concept but not the show. If you're questioning it enough to ask a bunch of strangers just drop it.

don't be memed
it's incredibly boring. Everyone telling you not to drop it is lying

You will have to specify which generals are bad in your opinion.

Are there permanent good ones I should know about?

Looks nice, kinda boring though. There's really nothing more to the show then sad androids and melancholy back drops.

Care to name your top 5 favorite books?

although I said it was boring earlier in this thread I should mention that I have 80 IQ. So it's entirely possible that I'm too dumb to "get it".

It never picks up the pace, if you can't see yourself watching the show only because of it's visuals then you're better watching something else.

To be fair you need a very deep understanding of Saint Seiya to understand Casshern

You don't really watch the show, you watch the opening on repeat enough times to memorize all the lyrics and then stop watching it.

I loved Casshern Sins, enjoyed the whole thing all the way through as it was airing. I also (just in general) don't mind extremely slow-paced shows if they've got an ambience and direction that I enjoy.

If you aren't enjoying yourself after 4 episodes of Casshern, and you're maybe more interested in churning through old "great" shows, don't frustrate yourself by forcing yourself to sit through it because it's not going to pick up the pace.

If you see things in it that you like, then consider coming back to watch an episode here or there when you're more in a mood to relax and enjoy a slow ride.

Absolutely - it stretches about 8 epiodes worth of ideas over the full run.

Really you should only watch it if you're hella digging the color design and background work.

Casshern Sins can't be 2deep4u because it actually brains you over the head with its message - though you do have to sit through about 16 empty episodes to get to that point. I would definitely excuse anyone for not paying attention by the time that rolls around though.

What was up with all those edgy remakes of old children cartoons coming out of Japan during that time anyways?
Were they trying to bank on nostalgia or something?

Exactly, you can’t. So stop asking retarded strangers on the internet to form you own fucking opinions for you.
