I only started this because sci-fi isekai are rare as fuck and wasn't really expecting anything.
But it's surprisingly okay after the meh start. There is a lot of care in the setting and most characters are fun. The manga that started recently also seems okay.
There are a few minor changes that it might have been nice to see for the space elf, but blue hair would be a good one. At least this space elf doesn't spend years alone in bed.
Cooper Butler
It's still in the meh phase. Let it get a few arcs in and then we'll talk about good/bad
Ethan Rogers
Not really there is a lot of sci-fi worldbuilding later. If only it wasn't generic isekai crap at heart.
Dominic Gomez
Even if it follows the same basic structure as most fantasy Isekai but with a sci-fi skin, I'm actually enjoying the characters and the novelty setting enough to keep reading.
Jaxon Kelly
honestly surprised there arent more sci fi isekai but its probably just easier to draw fantasy than sci fi
Jaxon Nelson
you can't crop rotate in space
Bentley Ramirez
Generic video game fantasy is easier to write.
Julian Murphy
Supposedly next arc has a noble loli.
Jaxson Butler
I wonder if she will ever join his ship too.
Christian Ross
Yeah, noble officer girl is great. So is the drunkard elf. If only MC was better.
Justin Reed
Doubt it. She will probably be a rival for Serena and want the crew to work for her.
Hunter Price
I drop it when MC started to shape up to be another spastic MC (Still better than generic MC) when he started to wailing his arms up in the air and screaming at the top of his lungs he was going to get some coca cola, it doesn't help that all im hearing from this is that he's spending his time fucking space bitches, i mean its okay but is he going into space adventures any time soon?
Tyler Powell
Crops on a spinning station are always rotating.
Christopher Martinez
Two options to still make MC special in a sci fi setting Take from Demolition man and make everyone else completely incompetent without technology. Or give MC the unrivaled ability to cope where he can not tell the difference between a full on cosmic horror ripped straight from Lovecraft and a regular old (mostly) harmless alien.
Julian Thomas
Isekai me into Gundam please
Hudson Baker
if i were to monkey paw it i would put you in one of the super deformed gundam shows
Jaxon Sanchez
Sure, but you end up as a grunt fighting the Gundam protagonist.
all fantasy is wish-fulfillment all Yas Forumsnons are virgins why are you even here idiot there are better places on Yas Forums to use virgin offensively
stop what nip readers are too lazy and pampered to bother reading synopsis you need to cram premise into the title to get attention oreimo
Jonathan Allen
Isekai? more like ise-GAY.
John Price
The current isekai trend is dominated by a bunch of formats and niches, most of whom fit better in a pre-modern fantasy setting. Few writers are bothering to experiment.
The only two sci-fi isekai I'm familiar with take the "OP MC pew pews things" format (the one in the OP), and a "Wargame with basic tactics" format (which the setting has to bullshit the MC being smarter than everyone by having it so that humans lost all understanding of strategy, despite having FTL and a galaxy-spanning empire)
The first is just more fun in a fantasy setting, and the latter requires you to dumb down future humans to make the modern Japanese MC look good.
Evan Bennett
hard to copy paste the circle city with walls into a space setting.
Samuel Reed
also monkey paw. You can be isekaied into being a failed space rat paralyzed waste down starving in the slum.
