I tried to get into it 3 different times. The third time was the origin of the forementioned village, couldn't take take it anymore and dropped it for good.

I'm kinda surprised by some of the response here, I thought Yas Forums generally liked Dr. Stone, but it seems only some do--AFTER a village or something is discovered

The beginning is generally considered rough, but you also aren't going to find most of the usual readers around on a non-chapter or non-spoiler day. Mainly shitposters like these three morons that spout the same cookie-cutter shit every thread they can.
Beginning is good, after the village its better.
Anime brought in endless tides of shitposters (thankfully mostly died down by now), nobody ever mentioned bazinga or rick and morty for the manga.
The prologue is pretty much nobody's favorite, if you still don't enjoy after a couple chapters of the village then it's a safe drop.
the series is good but there's a noticeable increase in quality when characters other than the original 4 appear

Tsukasa is portrayed as quite intelligent himself, and that is the most logical conclusion. Gunpowder isn't THAT hard to make considering the circumstances and was a huge lightyear leap forward in human development.
The next arc is going to be pure kino on par with the island arc.
Alright, with introduction of Chrome, it is more interesting now. We'll see how this goes
