>The Excel Saga anime is well known and enjoyed good reviews and sales when it came out.
>Every single time anyone tries to discuss it here at least 2 anons go "The anime is nothing but shit, the manga is so much better why can't Koshi Rikudo's work get a faithfull adaptation?!".
>Rikudo's other manga ("Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn") gets a faithfull anime adaptation.
>Sells like shit and it's quickly forgotten.
How do you explain this one mangafags?
The Excel Saga anime is well known and enjoyed good reviews and sales when it came out
Aged like dick milk
>>Rikudo's other manga ("Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn") gets a faithfull anime adaptation.
>>Sells like shit and it's quickly forgotten.
>How do you explain this one mangafags?
Pandora felt like relic of early 2000s random cute girl ecchi humor
Yes, Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn indeed aged like milk.
Given that its original concept was done by Masamune Shirow (most likely post-Hanshin Earthquake where he was doing nothing but drawing extra-shiny oily skin and HORSE COCKS) and had some GitS elements it isn't that suprising
What a ugly girl.
I don't remember Excel Saga being this gay. Then again, I don't exactly remember Excel Saga in the first place.
Rude.
>Sells like shit and it's quickly forgotten.
Shame it did not sell, but it WAS a pretty big deal on Yas Forums when it aired.
I however had no idea it was made by Excel Saga's author.
>Shame it did not sell.
It wasn't gay enough.
>was a pretty big deal on Yas Forums
It fucking wasn't.
That's a shit op.
You would have got more replies if you said "excel saga was so good, why did crimson shell flop so hard?"
You didn't give credit to the authors seminal work and you were indirect in your question
Shit opinion, How is crimson shell a ""semianal work""?
Based.
excel's design is the best but elgala was best girl
I didn't particularly like the manga outside of those two
