Shes good but her character arc ends way too quickly.
By the time second season finishes its last arc we've basically already explored everything she has to offer, therefor as time passes the novelty of her character fades before the rest of the monogatari girls

Huh? Hanekawa has one of the longest arcs in the franchise. What you're saying fits Crab more since her arc is quickly wrapped up and she's relegated to the normal love interest who Nisio writes about every now, and then.

If you read the novels then you would know this isn't true at all. Cat/Bat are the heroines he writes the most about. There's a reason nips call her the shadow heroine.

I don't hate her. If she can seduce Ararararagi away from hanging around with Kiss-Shot then great. I like her.

LN hanekawa is pretty good but shaft one just makes me wish the scene with her was over already. I hate her design and VA and catchphrase, her role in the story is a 3rd wheel.

how do you think she's different? I've watch the anime and read Tsubasa Sleeping but didn't find any major differences in her portrayal

All of them desu. The anime cuts a lot of shit. For example, Bakemonogatari has a lot more Cat, and Monkey scenes.

Even though I think I understand why araragi didn't choose her (I mean, he spells it out throughout all her arcs), I'm still butthurt he didn't.

They would never work out due to the complex he has towards her. Even in the current state of the franchise, he still holds Cat on a ridiculous pedestal.
