Rei. Although Asuka has a personality, she is a ruthless bitch who will hurt others because of her insecurities. This means somebody like me, someone who wants to give their all to their partner, will be hurt, especially when you are sensible and kind but receive snark, sarcasm, or jabs towards your insecurities or failures. Asuka is like a hedgehog with extremely large spines. She's a horrible person.
Meanwhile Rei, despite her lack of personality and conversation, won't be a terrible long term partner. I could try to revive passion in her. It's likely that she would closer to an emotional drain, but that's fine with me. I wouldn't mind spending all of my time with her, I have too much love to give. Asuka wouldn't appreciate it since she's narcissistic and broken.

You can use her negativity to improve yourself on your failures and insecurities. I'm also sure you can give Asuka shit for her own failures/insecurities but I'm not sure how that would play out since no one really gave Asuka pushback from what I remember. Part of me thinks she would either like it or breakdown and cry.
