Are space adventure series finally making a comeback?
We just had Astra anime, Eden's Zero is doing very well on shonen front and now a space isekai series is growing in popularity. Also LOGH remake I guess.

You didn't hear?
SPACE ELF TITTIES
They will be censored too, but I am still looking forward to seeing what little is visible.
Space elf ass.
this series is terrible, even for isekai standards.
>now a space isekai series is growing in popularity.
Mezametara is basically a Search & Replace on the usual fantasy isekai, but kudos for actually fucking the girls from the start.
I-i like the other one. Hope the translator is doing fine and didn't get corona'd. He hasn't updated for a while
>the other one
Which other one?
I wish he fucked them after they spent some time together with him on the ship, not the way it happened. I don't mind as much him accepting as soon as they did offer, just that they could have waited a little longer before showing up to his room half naked.
moretsu space pirates S2
never ever
still no news whatsoever
If they make a spiritual successor to Outlaw Star that will be as interesting and unique as OS, then yeah, they will make an actual return.
Hoping for one that is about exploring uncharted vastness of a galaxy after the galactic community of the Milky Way Galaxy launched its first giant cruiser with an experimental warp drive that can bend space and time to such an extend that would allow to travel to other galaxies and wouldn't require millions of years to get there.
I prefer the space dildo merchant
The OP one is just a standard tueee with space skin. It was really disappointing.
Nah, it's pretty shit but still way above typical isekai.
Japan sure has a massive hardon for space nobility.
>Japan sure has a massive hardon
Yep.
based and replicapilled
this is just thinly veiled fantasy with all the associated cliches though
It's generic isekai with Elite Dangerous skin. At least MC is neither retarded nor OP as all fuck.
Same applies to Star Wars.
Star Wars is thickly veiled though because it at least does attempts on galactic politics, economy, travel and warfare and not just handwave all that
>Star Wars
>politics
It may not be what I hoped for, but at least it's something with a little difference even if superficial. Having space elves is never a problem either.
This series is just the same-old generic Narou-kei Isekai we've all the associated cliches only recycled in space.
... And yet, the change of setting from medieval fantasy to high science fiction is enough to keep me invested and coming back for new chapters?
Yes, yes it does. The whole shtick about underlying reasons for Clone Wars was good. Reasons behind Droid and Clone army were good too. The conflict between Jedi and Senate was good.
This one is like a lot better than OP from what I read. Unfortunately publisher already killed it. It came out too early I suppose.
So the same exact stories with the same cliches with a thinly plastered space theme.
>it at least does attempts on galactic politics, economy, travel and warfare and not just handwave all that
If you look only at original movies not really.
Author generally understands how space works which helps.
I am now talking about everything lucasfilm and lucasarts made before Disney, including longass clone wars series. It really expands on worldbuilding.
Still, SPESS is refreshing in comparison to the same overused Tolkien-esque fantasy world every time.
You are comparing like 30 years of movies, books and comics to two LN volumes. OT barely has any world building.
Politics in Star Wars are quite good actually, the way they are presented makes them feel bland and boring but as far as wordbuilding goes Star Wars is pretty good
I do, come back when it's not fantasy in space.
It's not even Tolkien at this point, just some trashy jRPG or MMO. Thank God this fad is slowly dying. There is almost nothing left for anime other than stuff already in production and Eminence in Shadows.
Star Wars is fantasy in space.
The only thing this told me is that isekai anons are already desperate enough to tolerate something this shit
DATABASE s3 tho
No it's sci-fi because magic is explained and not handwaived.
Spotted the nonreader isekaihater shitposter. Read more isekai.
>nothing left for anime
Don't be dumb, there are like a shit load left
Power metal is the best music genre for isekai.
