>Tanaka: In the end, after much thinking, I thought, “nobody has seen an actual space battle anyway, so I’ll just make it the coolest I can.” Like, if I’m wrong then go ahead and prove it!
Tanaka: In the end, after much thinking, I thought, “nobody has seen an actual space battle anyway...
he's right though sci-fi accuracy is just a gimmick
based
Did anybody unironically watch it for the space battles?
Which one is correct?
Btw, it's fun to see Reinhard making fun of a baby being the empress as a sign of decadence of the Goldenbaum dynasty and then he doing the same with his child years later.
Sieg.
The space battles are the bulk of the show.
>space battles
>ships can only move as if they were constrained by a 2D space
Shit writer.
Yes. Partially. I love huge space battles.
You reminded be this garbage.
Not for the visual effects of space battles but for the tactics etc
There are multiple battles in Season 3 where ships come from above and below to ambush the empire
Just use a semicircle man
???
They make use of 3D space in every single battle. They move ships in rectangles, not surfaces.
Sorry, you're right. Talking about space battles is the bulk of the show.
Character moments will always be more interesting than pew pew.
To be fair he did place a good regent in charge, and even made it possible for alec to not inherit if hilda did not want to
I liked them, but its not like they were the best parts or anything
Every logh is just the relevant characters being talking heads with strategies and a bunch of bricks shooting eachother with lasers. Besides that there will be a bunch of side characters that job and get killed.
They're like the meat in a sub sandwich. Important to the story, yes, but not overly important to overshadow the other ingredients.
Yang and Reinhard are way to critical to the story.
Luckily no-one can swat you in space.
unless they had a Gundam, haha
I've always wanted to make two fan cuts to LoGH. One cut only shows footage exclusively from the alliance pov and the other from exclusively the imperial pov. So the only time you'd see or hear an imperial speak is if someone from the alliance was in the same room.
Watch "My Conquest is the Sea of Stars" and "Overture to a New War".
>copy battle from the napoleonic era expect with spaceships
FUCKING HACK
It sounds interesting.
>what do you mean space is 3d
>why cant I just make space battles like napoleonic infantry formations
If set laws and rules for a setting then you have to go by those. If you dont set any limits and yout universe is mostly the same as ours then people will rightly call you out on shit that wouldnt make sense.
But he was giving the throne to his wife.
And explicitly stated only someone worthy should inherit it.
Only thing I didnt like were the land battles and the boarding the ships, why did they resort to battle axe's when boarding a enemy ship but didnt wear armor when using laser guns?
No but they took up entire episodes.
Not really most of the fleet battles until that final siege on Iselhorn, but some of the small fighter pod PoV scenes got me hard.
