do you know why these are the top favorite anime "according to the Japanese vote"? because of the story itself, the plot, the characters. and none of them got big gruesome deaths. death shouldn't always be the stake.
>Dragon Ball: every character revives with the Shenron power no one stays dead. ever. >One Piece: the same crew sailing 1997 and kept growing >Bleach: no one dies in the Fake Karakura Town arc.no one from the top 20 popularity poll died. >Fairy Tail: not a single death. >Black Clover: Julius has come back to life due to the additional time he had stored in his tattoo. >Naruto: a nameless Sensei, Jiraiya so he can make a big scene and then pull the "I feel guilty for killing my Sensei and I will revive everyone now" card, no one fucking dies in the big war, even Tsunade was cut in half and still survived.... and Neji dies for NaruHen to bond over. >Yu Yu Hakusho: even Kuwabara didn't stay died >HXH: and Gon still breathing. Hisoka and Kaito got revived >KNY: Rengoku died in the same arc. and Uzui survived big injures. no deaths until the final arc >FMAB: best selling, best anime and perfect ending with only one death. >gintama: didn't even stick with history and kill "Kondou, Sakamoto, and Sougo"
Because normalfags have shit taste everywhere. Also it's bizarre to suggest lak of death is the main reason as if it's the norm everywhere else.
Benjamin Hill
>best of shonen >ccs that's pretty based ngl
Anthony King
>CCS >Shounen.
Jayden Carter
I meant Shounen jump.
Angel Lee
Yes deaths are overrated. JoJo is filled with deaths and maybe only 2-3 are memorable (Gyro, Caesar, FF)
Brayden Reyes
the sad part about the deaths is it lasted for one arc" same arc they died in" and after that never mentioned or remembered again. except for Hughes's
Xavier Stewart
>memorable yes >meaningful or serve any purpose other than dramatic effect >no
Jaxson Wood
>CCS >FMA Shounen jump.
Blake Diaz
fine you win. >the best of the mangas. happy now
Lincoln Howard
I didn't even knew there was a FMA manga for most of my life.
I always thought it was an anime only thing.
Jeremiah Carter
Only fujoshi vote in these pointless popularity polls.
Andrew Robinson
HxH is soft seinen
Benjamin Davis
then why slam dank and Gintama there.
Ayden Torres
They are both very popular with fujoshis, is this a joke?
Nathan Nelson
You seem new, Gintama had a very large fujo following, Gintoki and Hijikata were a huge ship back then; Slam dunk had a smaller following but they exist as well. Almost all manga and anime with attractive males have m/m shippers in Japan, nip fujos have been around before the first Comiket was set up.
Elijah Myers
>Jumpshit >FMA How much different would it be if fujo didn't vote?
Evan Anderson
what? who?
Daniel Reyes
All the males, how new are you?
Matthew James
Sof seinen is shonen.
Easton Ward
ok let Gintama aside but slam dank is an old school and there were no fujo back then
I meant slam dank. I never knew it had a fujo fans
Joshua Barnes
WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
Sebastian Jenkins
Why do you faggots keep quoting as a "best shonen" or "favourite shonen of all time" list?
The hashtag was "5 manga that define myself", it's nothing but a popularity contest with a flavor of nostalgia/long running bias. Without even considering the fact that westerners polluted the results by using the hashtag themselves and those are pretty much literally the only series they know.
Logan Taylor
What the fuck? Fujos were even making Captain Tsubasa, and Saint Seiya doujin back then, they had them printed and/or photo copied to sell them. Fujos aren't a new thing at all. They can latch onto anything with more than one male if they like it.
Oliver Butler
Kite was revived as a little red-haired girl. with both memories. he even told gon the set using the same hand sign language
John Hernandez
then please, name one good manga that not popular.
Daniel Phillips
A lot of anons don't get that manga wasn't a "boys thing" in Japan like comics were in the west, nip girls read shonen before shojo magzines became popular and they used to draw doujin and write straight, BL and yuri fanfiction according to their tastes even after getting separate magazines for girls later on.
It's not just a matter of popularity, it's pretty clear that this poll was mainly voted by the audience that was primarily reading shonen during the late '90s/2000s, which is the point, you aren't "defined" by the latest craze but by the stuff you grew up with.
The fact that this list is almost exclusively shonen (despite the fact that the entries did not necessarily have to be shonen) should clue you in on the fact that this wasn't meant to be a "best manga of all time" survey and you retards should stop taking it as such.
And to answer your question so you don't cry too much, Oyasumi Punpun and Blade of the immortal off the top of my mind. Now fuck off.
Benjamin Hughes
>Rob, Mavis, Zeref,, Loki's previous master died in flashback >Simon died in the same arc >Lisanna never actually died >hades, zancrow Mard villans
