This is stupid. Is everyone in police and military force quirkless?
This is stupid. Is everyone in police and military force quirkless?
authorities barely exist in mha universe
Only licenced heroes can use superpowers in public.
I got the impression police and other governmental institutions banned their use to avoid all kind of legal mess can create the use of superpowers in regular offices.
superheroes business is now a regulated field on their own
>No spin-off following a police officer who could become a hero if he wanted but would rather serve his community upholding the law instead of caring about his brand and merchandises every day
It's a power fantasy comic book for children.
I don't think this universe was very well planned out
its fucking stupid that non heroes can't exercise their quirks
imagine how good a flying firefighter or a cop with snipes quirk would be
The manga is shit but in fairness they probably can, they just need to fill out the paperwork after
I think the biggest example of that is the "30% of the population is quirkless" thing. Like, that's a pretty big chunk of the population. It's a minority, sure, but there should be no way in fucking hell that Deku was the only quirkless person at his middle school with those numbers. Hori seems to think 30% is "so rare its practically unheard of"
>only quirkless person at his middle school
Is this actually stated? He's probably the only quirkless one in his class and not the entire school.
Maybe older generations have more quirklesses people
It's the only logical way to look at it, like Marvel's X-gene showing up more and more the further generations exist.
MHA has unironically the worst world building of all current shonen.
It's not stated, but it can provably be inferred that he is because I have a hard time believing that if he wasn't the only quirkless student he wouldn't have sought that other person out and made friends with them, even if they were in a different grade or another class.
It has cool character designs. That's enough for a battle shounen.
the designs are complete garbage.
i also love that 90% of villains also have a second quirk for some reason that makes them look like monsters.
"Heroes" also work as rescue workers.
>a world where most people have super powers, imagine how interesting that would be
>except everything from daily life to technology is literally the same and the only difference is there are heroes now
BRAVO HORI
80% of people have quirks
its not impossible that he was the only quirkless guy in his school but even if he wasn't, what makes you think quirkless people just befriend each other, Deku is a nerd and a loser, chances are he didn't have the balls to seek out and approach others like him and even if he did. why would they all necessarily be friends with him. Maybe the other quirkless kids are too popular to be seen with Deku
This always bothered me. Like there is no way that the government wouldn't make a task force to fight against people with quirks.
I don't understand why there is no quirkless hero. Because technology would be better than most of quirks to fight crime.
According to bnhafags, it's because hard work is worthless and it's literally impossible for a quirkless guy to train to become as good as someone with a quirk. Why is it impossible ? Because only talent matters
Deku was bullied BECAUSE he was quirkless. I find it hard to believe that anyone else without a quirk would also not be bullied somehow.
Also, people who are alike seek eachother out. That's literally the way human social circles work. For a great example, look at homos. They all only befriend eachother, even if they have literally nothing else in common. It's why you're on this board right now, because you want to seek out other anime fans instead of talking to someone who isn't interested in anime.
Yeah, there's knuckleduster from the spin-off manga but he's just another punch harder guy, he doesn't use technology
Deku getting bullied because he had no quirk is the most dumb thing in the manga. Most people have absolutely useless quirks and even if they had good quirks, they can't use it unless they're heroes. Not having a quirk literally doesn't mean anything for a civilian, it doesn't make any sense that he would get bullied for that reason. Especially when mutant abominations exists
Yes, we called them heroes you dumbass
bait
Not really, the main problem is it's based in the modern era. When faced with current society matters like superpowers and mutation should be addressed properly and in depth. Hori follows a shallow approach that could admitedly fly in a medieval setting but has logical fallacies when set in the mdoern world.
The manga literally spells out that he was bullied for not having a quirk. It doesn't matter that some people had completely useless quirks, they still considered themselves to be superior to the quirkless Deku. Because hey, even if your quirk is shitty and useless, and least it's better than that guy who doesn't have one!
>inb4 he was a loser nerd
Again, he was only considered a loser for being quirkless. Also, he was a nerd for HEROES. That thing literally everyone in-universe loves. Being into heroes isn't some niche hobby for weirdos. People complimented his quirk analysis abilities. They admired his dedication- until they found out he didn't have a quirk.
no, I am talking about people working under the government full time, not a bunch of social influencers that do hero shit on the side.
that's been actively stated. It's 30% because that number includes all the old people
You need to keep in mind that as generations go on, there's less quirkless kids.
So most of the 30% are the older folk, I guess.
The fuck are you talking about? Heroes in universe are government workers. Some of them decided to have second jobs, some don't, they don't do hero shit on the side.
