I get that standards plummeted during the 10s with the overproduction of anime & subsequent shoehorning of corner cutting 3dpdcg into it, among other things.. But that trash you posted doesn't even manage to look as good as an average show like Darling in the Franxx. There's no respect for the artstyle, the production nor any sense of aesthetic cohesion. In essence, it's unprofessional. Both backgrounds are extremely lazy and the second one in particular is badly juxtaposed with the foreground character. It might have some fluid animation but make no mistake, that sequence as a whole is a piece of shit. Attached webm looks far more eloquent, stylistically cohesive and all round professional. Note how the backgrounds here are well detailed, have actual work put into them and are thus actually substantive. There's also much more detail and shading on the water and character animation. The waves, splashes, bubbles and characters here share a unique stylization(the sharp circular grading) unlike in the webm you posted. This helps construct an atmosphere with an underlying visual expression and set of properties. The crafting of a world that seems like it could truly be 'real' in it's own universe. I.e. a consistent distortion of reality. The animations in the franxx webm share a fundamental sense of belonging, something that your webm sorely lacks.
