I finsihed Key the Metal Idol yesterday. I had been stuck at episode 13 for a while, needing enough time for the last two episodes, which are really long, and over the last two evenings I finished them.
They were much better than I expected from how people have been talking. I was expecting something like 3 hours of recap episodes with no conclusion, but that was far from the truth.
Yeah, there was an 80 minutes exposition dump in one of the episodes with barely any animation, but the exposition was actually interesting, and there was also plenty of time for the plot itself to progress, and we actually did get a real ending.
It was a bit too deep and complicated for me to understand completely, but that doesn't make it unenjoyable.

I'm about a third of the way through the Yamamoto Yohko TV series. Frankly it's a massive downgrade from the OVAs; the OVAs were high-octane action and character zaniness, but the TV series is a much more normal, by-the-numbers show so far. It's amusingly ironic to hear Hayashibara Megumi call someone else "neko musume" though.

I also watched the first episode of Gokinjo Monogatari. It had a really unique, distinct artstyle.
I hope it will focus more on fashion, but I think it may overall be pretty good. It was fun how the main character was warping, which reminded me a lot of Esper Mami, which I also ended up watching a couple of episodes of.

I've started to watch Touch, and the Central-Anime subs are full of mistakes.

It's the one thing I can't stand about early-internet-era subs. There are times when my Japanese is better than the translator's despite my having learned it solely by watching subbed anime for over a decade, but it's still not good enough to comfortably watch raws. I feel like I have to run my mind at twice the speed in order to try to fit the Japanese audio to the sub and figure out what's actually being said.

Also, I just realized there's a better quality release for these OVAs and I could be watching them right now instead of these that I have stored since probably 2013 oh well

About to start Dragon Quest. Once I finish that + the Ramna 1/2 movie, I will have finished every single anime from this year.

I kinda wish I kept count of the amount of times Truck-kun made an appearance. Its quite frankly ridiculous how many times I saw a truck run over somone, and yet Train-sama only managed to kill 1 person!?
