What a fucking psycho

>some bitch call his action evil on tv
>get offended and think that you are a god and kill the dude then and there
Pretty sure that is what happened.

No seriously user, I want an explanation. I acknowledge my stupidity.

I thought you meant the first death, nevermind. But the time that you mention he was already full throttle into his god complex by then

He was the stupid, and the worst part of Death Note is that the story didn't tackle the actual downsides of his plan and went with a "power corrupts" morality tale instead.

The first problem is that Light somehow has a 100% accuracy rate, even though he gets all his information about criminals second-hand from the media or police. Especially when he's judging criminals on whole other countries, you'd realistically expect a lot of false positives and innocent blood shed, but the story never even suggests the possibility.

Secondly, the idea that Light's murder spree would ultimately end up lowering crime rates and war on a global scale is pretty far-fetched. Crime rates, maybe, although there's no real world data to suggest that capital punishments have any kind of deterrent effect. But wars, how the fuck does killing criminals have any effect on war?

From an entirely logical standpoint, Light was in the right with what he did. He pushed the world at least 50 years in to the evolutionary future, if not more. His actions would raise the world average IQ by a significant degree, and would purge genes that make people susceptible to crime. Vote right, vote Light!

>But wars, how the fuck does killing criminals have any effect on war?
He goes after criminal because he deem them evil and you know what else he can deem as evil? War, so whoever started a war can get kill by kira and all the people who planned to start a war would hesitate to start one which is why it has an effect on war.

Light had the right idea, but chose the wrong targets.

t. 200 IQ.

Are you suggesting Kira went around executing legitimate heads of state? And that this somehow improved stability in the world, instead of creating even more fighting and chaos as people struggled to fill the power vacuum?

Who are the right targets then? He killed off criminals, unfortunately with some innocents mixed in, but the average intelligence and susceptibility to crime of the people he killed would be lower and higher respectively to the average person.

>capital punishments
That's entirely separate from Kira's work, though.
Capital punishment has years of waiting and appeals whereas Kira is just an instagib that can come at any time.
