The Japanese economy has always been hanging on a thread. Perhaps now shit can finally get sorted out.

I always wondered why is the Japanese economy always doing so bad when literally everyone is working themselves to death.

I expect anime to be seriously affected until winter probably. This isn't until just summer anime. The virus is already deep within Japan, their cases are growing like 500 to 700 a day, and the state of emergency was already expanded nationwide. It will get worse before it gets better.

You serious? If working yourself to death was all it took then first world countries would probably be bengladesh, pakistan, or even north korea.
There are a lot of things that are beyond your control that determine the worth of your work. How educated you are, how sought after your skills are, what kind of work is available to you, how easy it is for for people to make business, how safe and trustworthy the world considerd your country and your government to be, the amount of natural ressources on your soil, etc.
