no, but this duel is between a guy who already lost and a girl that pretends to know nothing about dueling, not worthy to be on the anniversary episode.
that means you have low standards but that's not shocking since sevensfags all have this in common.

they did that and it's called DSOD
can't bring myself to care about an 'anniversary of the decade' the franchise already blew its load with a few years ago with a movie

Does sevens want to use all the ideas vrains couldn't get to?

Romin a best. Also the cutest.

Vrains wouldve been more entertaining if it was more like batman beyond and about fighting the more hidden corporate or mafia crimes

I like the show but the anniversary deserves better.

predictably, episode 4 is about gakuto

are they not giving out blocks of episode summaries anymore?

they're going to reveal something new for the anniversary, right? it can't be just a handful of retrains for DM monsters and a completely unrelated episode of SEVENS, r-right?

by the way, where the hell do the rush cards come from? did yuga draw them himself? did he pirate someone else's artwork? are they normal cards that turned into rush ones when the new rules got installed? is everyone just making their own copies of them?

The anniversary is just in regards to the start of the NAS anime, isn't it? And NAS is the disappeared cut out middleman now that Konami&Shueisha are commanding direct control.

>they're going to reveal something new for the anniversary, right? it can't be just a handful of retrains for DM monsters and a completely unrelated episode of SEVENS, r-right?
Maybe a new game but with Corona killing everyone they will probably announce it for later

I like Yuma.

Cute.
I'd rather Google Pixiv and see what they have new in there once per month.
Likely there even isn't.
Everyone has the exact same cards except they get the "Rush Duel" tag at the bottom when getting into one.

They use their regular cards they always had for rush duels, they were always playing with DM-tier vanillas and spells/traps. Like how the duel disk images a red "7" on itself with hologram technology presumably, the "Rush Duel" tag temporarily appears at the bottom of their cards for the duration of the duel.

People have crazy high expectations for this franchise. Like what do you guys want? DM is the most popular and you hate that shit. Do you really think they would waste their time and resources with less popular iterations of the franchise?

ORE NO TURN
POOPU SHOUKAN
*poops*
TURN ENDO DA!

I'd be more enthusiastic if GX got something notble for its 20th anniversary in 2024. DSOD was cool as the big anniversary thing but it already came and went, you know

do you remember where they show that? if so, then how the hell are master duels going to work? it'd be really silly if they used rush cards in master duels in the anime but i also don't see them completely ignoring them altogether

it got too wrapped up with buddhism AI, couldn't even get to the better part of the japanese pantheon.

When Rook explains how beating Hologram Man 6 times didn't do shit, we get to see Fire Guardian with the Rush Duel layout except it lacks the "Rush Duel" tag at the bottom. Next episode, when Rook mills Fire Guardian to activate Dragears' effect, it has the "Rush Duel" tag. Master Duels being "rigid and boring" would make no sense if Synchro solitarie and shit did exist there.

so...we're not getting any ACTUAL duels in the anime? oh jeez

Why is Kaiba so incredibly well-drawn in the Virtual World arc while everyone else is drawn like shit?

It was a tiny glimpse but Rook in his flashback (before any rush duels) doesn't have the rush duel tag on the bottom of his card. There aren't any illegal card printing presses and there's no indication anyone's had to change the cards they play since they're literal kids with only lunch money.

They have little to no way to make master duels with the DM-tier cards they have any better than rush duels. It's just the same thing but at a snail's crawl with no capability for SS spam. When they need a rush duel to be more drawn out for a 2 parter, Hikokubo will just throw in more defensive effects/backrow like what he's done before, and rub his hands with glee at getting to make more waboku rip offs. Maybe he'll remake his past battle trap master piece, Scrap Iron Scarecrow, for rush duels.

Who were the animation directors for his episodes during that arc?

Because he is best boy.
