Fags will never tell you this but the answer is all in the smile. If you see a character smile and it clicks with you, then more often than not it clicks with most others and it’s a good design. A character who doesn’t have a good smile may have an iconic design but that doesn’t make it good

Kind of disagree. A character's smile CAN be part of an iconic design, a good smile alone doesn't make a good design. Case in point: C.C.'s smile in the movie is 10/10 (mainly because of how far her character has come), but her design has never been top tier. CGfags and creayus don't need to answer this post.
