Name a bigger jobber than Riboku, but I doubt you can

Name a bigger jobber than Riboku, but I doubt you can.
Everyone is saying he is the literal monster strategist of all of china, noone is his peer, yet he lost every single engagement after his first ambush on Ouki.
Pathetic man.

TEST

Did it work?

He won a billion battles offscreen.
Also, let's look at the ones he lost.
>Sai
Literally a miracle happening. Like, imagine if the people of Gyou found out that the food is out and instead of rioting all armed up and zerg rushed Kanki's army, obviously Qin would be completely fucked in that situation.
>Shukai plains
Does nothing wrong strategically or tactically, even pulls an absolute madman manoeuvre at the start of the battle to cripple Ousen's forces and ensure a massive advantage. Ousen just happens to have FOUR of the most prodigious young generals in all of China who are just starting to reach their prime in his army while Riboku is stuck with shitters like Kaine and Futei. Again loses through no fault of his own to his armies getting ungad by sheer force (in this case, talent) despite his tactics being flawless.
>Battle for Gyou in general
Ousen is literally a galaxy brain clarvoyant, sure you can mock Riboku for being completely mogged by him but then so is everyone else.
Riboku is a supreme strategist and tactician and also an incredibly skilled politician and architect, he's a monster in the truest sense of the word. It's just that he gets shafted by things beyond his control and then he went up against an even bigger monster in Ousen.

>sai
Allright, ill give you that one, militia peasants staying awake for 7 days straight fighting is an asspull if anything, but lets not forget what lead him into the position of besieging Sai to begin with. He failed to get pass the northern pass wall, and only through Karen being bigbrain did they actually manga to get in only to be cucked by Ousen, again nothing Riboku did worked.

>Again loses through no fault of his own to his armies getting ungad by sheer force (in this case, talent) despite his tactics being flawless.
But isnt that the whole fucking point of tactics, to make up for these disadvantages in strength and talent for his ground troops? He knew that Shin, Ouhon and Mouten are infact these beasts from earlier battles and should account for them. That was his fuckup without a doubt.

Had he been skilled in politics as he was in tactics he would have gotten the kings help and absolute dumpsterfuck the Qin army with the Kantan royal force but he fucked that up too sadly. I think politics, atleast domestic is his biggest flaw, sure he can taunt and intimidate the other rulers, but he has no clout in his home country after the fuckup that was the coalition army.

SAVE ME HOUSEN SAMA

>He failed to get pass the northern pass wall
Due to everyone else dropping the ball. Kanemi dying to Moubu basically lost them the battle right then and there, but there's also Gohomei's towers doing far more harm then good, Ordo getting completely fucked by Ousen (can't fault him) and Han's literal who commander dying like a simp.
>Karen being bigbrain
Riboku was sending troops from day one, even she acknowledged this. it's just that his plan was more long term.
>He knew that Shin, Ouhon and Mouten are infact these beasts from earlier battles and should account for them.
He did. But there is only so much you can do with tactics. They bulldozed through ever ploy and legendary general he threw their way, Shin even killed fucking Houken and came back from the dead. He just didn't have enough to work with.
>Had he been skilled in politics as he was in tactics he would have gotten the kings help
The whole point is that Zhao king is an evil degenerate who doesn't give a fuck about his country since he'll have a short life. There is nothing Riboku can do about that. The message is that under a good ruler (Sei) a kingdom prospers no matter how much strife they endure, while under a bad ruler (Tou Jou) a kingdom shall wither and fall no matter how wealthy it is or how many truly competent and patriotic men it has.

This is true, but the fact he has the charisma to mobilize Houken at all speaks volumes about him. In fact that is Riboku's greatest strength, his charisma which allows him to recruit all manner of people who would normally never work with anyone, let alone together. He even had decent relations with the Quanrong king.

Ouki. he lost to the jobber Riboku.

I guess you could argue that if Riboku was truly any good at politics, he would've had the king deposed in some fashion just like Ryofui.

>allows him to recruit all manner of people who would normally never work with anyone, let alone together.
Thats Kanki dude.

You could probably say Riboku knew he couldn't have taken over zhao without a civil war that would've left them too weak to fight off all the other armies.

I dont know about dethroning a king, but I would agree that Ribokus biggest weakness was his politics game, he wasnt really fit to be prime minister, he knew strategy, but not how to traverse the political world utilizing it as good as he should have been able to.
Also isnt the Zhou king sick or some shit, which is why he doesnt give a shit about what happens to his kingdom after he is dead and gone?

>But there is only so much you can do with tactics.
I mean the answer to his super complex strategy in the center army was literally to just walk at them and they die.
Cant counter any strategy if there are none is the dumbest shit I ever read.

>Comes out of decades long retirement
>Dies in his first battle
You might be on to something.

Kanki is a gang leader, he could never pull the likes of Houken or Rozo. Even ''regular'' Zhao commanders under Riboku are all prodigies, Keisha was a super-autist and a very unique instinctual general, Shunsuiju is hinted to be from the mountain tribes, Bananji is a super powerful Xiongnu destroying veteran even though almost all other generals don't last a year up north. Riboku had an all-star roster under him, he's just unlucky with the fact that Zhao has no notable young prodigies.

>Ribokus biggest weakness was his politics game
>was able to put together a coalition of five countries

It was still his weak point. Got his ass thrown out of the capital for losing the coalition war, never recovered and is now heading for the chopping block because noone of political stature wants to defend him. Had his politics game been strong, he would have had supporters in the palace and wouldnt have been threatened with public execution for failure.

I guess that's the difference between diplomacy and politics. Riboku is good at interacting with other countries but not his own.

Riboku is OP as fuck.
Ousen just happens to be even more OP.

Ok dude.
Ousen does literally nothing, walks against him with his centre army, doesn't deploy, no tactics, no nothing. Spear in hand, zero fucks and Riboku, the "OP" guy goes like: "Fuck me this cant be stopped". You telling me, the brightest tactician cant beat someone who doesn't even use tactics?

Heres the problem with Riboku:
The author hypes him up for 450 chapters, he is the god of strategy and all that shit. Ok, fine. The thing all fictional characters struggle with is that they will only be as smart as their author. You can create a super smart dude, but when it comes down to it and you actually have to show off his brain and not just talk about it they in most cases fall short due to this limitation. That is what happened to Riboku, the author wanted a brilliant tactician, but his character is limited to his own brilliance.

Isn't the crown prince on his side? That's a pretty big supporter.

Riboku just represents humanity bro

That's because Riboku can only play 10d chess, Ousen just hit him with 11d and he crumbled.

The crown prince definitly wasnt against him, cant recall if he was an actual supporter, but that was his only ally in the whole court.

>Ousen is literally a galaxy brain clarvoyant, sure you can mock Riboku for being completely mogged by him but then so is everyone else.
I'm sorry, but you can't pretend lacking the foresight to blockade both side of the river to gyou wasn't dropping the fucking ball. It's litterally having the enemy dead to right and leaving them an exit because you think they could never take it.

Riboku demonstrated repeatedly that he has mastered every facet of conventional warfare to the point where he has a perfectly drilled army that can flawlessly perform and switch very complex tactics with minimal input from him. It's just that he went up against a clairvoyant mind reader who can instantly conceive the most outlandish of strategies and implant them effectively.

Remember that he was working with extremely limited resources and dealing with one surprise after another, it's conceivable that Ousen kept him jumping from one foot to the next and it slipped his mind. The Yan attack, however brief it was, didn't help either.

Trolling surely

I mean his strategy from day one was to fucking starve them to death, he fucked up his main point of the whole strategy. Sure a slipup here and there on the battlefield only makes him human, but the whole point of it all was that they had no supplies, and that was the basked in which he put all his eggs, fucking that up is inexcusable.

Between his king fucking with him, Ousen performing literal magic and the young commanders plowing through everything he threw at them, it's honestly understandable something as tiny as ''Hey, maybe i should block Qi too just in case they decide to help them despite me having no reason to think that other then a small meeting between their kings way back from which i have much more important memories of Sei declaring war on Zhao'' slipping his mind is understandable. Just think of all the shit that must have been going through his mind. Also, he did remember, but the tard king already had him arrested.

Yeah I agree that he was under an immense amount of pressure which probably led to his defeat, but the thing is the whole battle didnt matter right. It didnt matter if he lost every single soldier, there was still no food in Gyo, mountainbitch was surrounded and coulnt help, there was absolute zero food for Kanki and Ousen despite them crushing Riboku on the plains. The only thing that mattered, and Riboku knew this was the food situation and thats the thing he fucked up the hardest. He had them dead to rights. Not very fitting for a god tier tactician if you ask me.
