I guess now we start kingdom building isekais.
Realist Hero anime announced
>we're going to see the tiddy dragons animated
nice
look at those lifeless eyes
literally convert an entire nation to support their conqueror in less than a year
I'm surprised it took this long its a popular series.
Didn't really take much, that nation was on the brink of collapse anyways.
nation building isekais are the literal worst of the genre
i still dont know why every normalfag and his dog think that slime is the best, when it was just boring, although it's probably the best nation building isekai (which isnt saying much)
>now
Hyakuren was a kingdom building isekai, though they dumped all the kingdom building parts to rus 7 volumes + 8's ending in only 1 cour.
But user don't you believe IDOLS and CULTURE can overcome generations of mutual resent?
Why can't we just have a regular kingdom building anime without any isekai?
Because that would just be an ordinary senki series.
I doubt they would reach that. At best they could adapt up to the union of the two countries.
>jannies are awake
Literally looks like Kirito.
>senki
Wasn't that the name of some old japanese communist zine?
Then how would it explain
>MUH CROP ROTATIONS
>MUH DOUBLE-ENTRY BOOKKEEPING
>MUH GUNS AND MODERN WARFERE
>MUH TOILETS
coming out of the MC's ass?
>I guess now we start kingdom building isekais.
I mean, Rimuru is technically that, even if it doesn't care as much about the politics too much.
Anyways, Realist Hero is pretty dumb, and I pretty much dropped it sometime after the time-travel shit. The girls are also pretty meh.
The fact the story tries to sell itself as a REALIST isekai is probably the worst part—there's thinking things thru, and then there's being a try-hard.
Isn't that literally Kingdom?
Does it have to
Just give me a mount and blade anime
You forgot baths and rice.
The LN version hacks out all the "realist" fedora-tipping from the WN, I guess the editor must have told him it was too tryhard. At most the "realist" aspect only shows up in low-key ways like how he doesn't immediately emancipate all the slaves.
Why is this garbage so popular?
>Isekai natives literally not knowing how to grow food in order to avoid starvation
>Elves living in a forest for a thousand years not knowing anything about forestry
Is this shit just written to make Japanese teenagers feel clever for knowing the most basic shit?
>realist hero
>realist demon lord
realist peasant when?
inshallah
>Isekai natives literally not knowing how to grow food in order to avoid starvation
It was more like greedy landowners who can afford enough food for themselves busy chasing cash crop profits by directing the peasants to grow those instead of food. We see historical incidences of these occurring such as in British India.
These kinds of isekai rely a lot on the fact that their readers know jack shit about anything, much less history. The LN might have toned down the fedora-tipping smugness of the Author's ego, but there's still a lot of unexplained stupidity in the setting.
Didn't the MC also have to teach the peasants to eat shit that was already present in their lands, like sea food and jelly slimes?
It makes sense for people to be weary of newly imported foods that haven't seeped into the culture yet (like most of Europe was with Tomatos and Potatos which were relatively recent imports), but for things that are readily available for any significant amount of time, people would have tried to find a way to eat it ages ago, especially during past famines.
Jesus Christ.
Is that makes him a """realist"""? Acting like a pseud and call his subordinates "fresh labor"?
Those pages were dreadfully painful to read.
What makes him a realist is how much he unironically follows Machiavelli's The Prince.
>Didn't the MC also have to teach the peasants to eat shit that was already present in their lands, like sea food and jelly slimes?
He sent a dude to travel really far away to other countries to find their food practices. Yeah it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that those didn't already make their way to his own country in the past if they are readily available. And even the elf says
>“In the forest, we have to eat everything we can, otherwise we would succumb to malnutrition in no time,” Aisha said, staring off into the distance.
I bet the author just read right-wing Japanese propaganda about how Allied PoWs weren't actually starved by the IJA the stupid gaijins just didn't understand how to eat tree roots, then wrote that in.
well that's depressing.
We used to avoid seafood too, and pigs because food prep wasn't as good and we didn't know why they caused sickness.
>Literally reskinned Kirito and Asuna
God the anime industry is such a fucking joke.
They looks nothing alike outside the hair color.
Interesting, the author actually notes in that article how the overseas version contributed to getting the anime greenlighted.
>これも絵師の冬ゆき先生、コミカライズの上田悟司先生、海外翻訳版に携わっていただいている方々、なによりも当小説を支えてくださっている読者の皆様のおかげです。
Wait, you're talking about excella huh... I thought it's naden you're talking about. My mistake, we'll definitely see her in the adaptation
colonialist powerfantasy
stories about bringing civilization to unwashed primitives is nothing new
>tfw the three grandest dukes in the country just sit back and clap as the king obliterates their ancient feudal rights
bravo japan
The joke here is you buddy
Yeah was talking about excel, also juna.
what series?
Roro is the best girl
It's kinda funny when you put it like that.
Various Native American tribes Europeans encountered actually led healthier lives than the supposedly civilized Europoors, and had insights into ideas Europeans wouldn't discover until centuries later.
A great example is how the Inca had been cultivating islands of bird poop for generations, because it was a highly potent fertilizer. The dumbass Europeans conquered the Inca, dismissed the bird poop and went about looking for El Dorado like dumbasses before rediscovering the guano centuries later.
this sentence is as meaningful as shit. The typical "thanks to everyone" you can find anywhere. Doesn't mean that it couldn't be, but its nothing worth mentioning.
OP series.
>water dragon duchess just says "okay whatever" as Soma builds a new port city to rival her own
>lion duke fake-rebels as an agent provocateur to lure out rebellious nobles, then loses his own civil war on purpose and gets all his lands seized because he believes in the king's reforms
>dragonewt duke rebels because he trusts the lion duke and gets fucked for his troubles
