Why was it a movie instead of a new cour? Remember how excited everyone was for Geass before they found out it was just going to be a movie? Remember how hype the early promotional material was? Why did they decide that a movie was a better format?
Code Geass
They have no real story to tell.
it wasn't a better format
the movie had no tension and was useless fanservice
CG was always more about character drama than plot.
>the movie had no tension
Mostly the fault of the lackluster villains. Movie should have really been about political shenanigans in the Brittanian Empire than some random MidEast-stan.
The sandpeople were a mistake.
>anime from Lelouch perspective
>C.C. looks like this
As said innumerable times throughout history. When will humanity ever learn?
>from anyone else's perspective
Which one is the correct look for her: cute, or evil semen demon?
All three at the same time.
Well, Geass being a perspective flip, I think villain makes more sense. It's cuter that way too.
The better question is why did it exist at all? It was so shitty. I got none of the excitement I got from the original show out of this movie. Mao was essentially filler but I really don't understand why they would cut him and subsequently Shirly's storyline just for shirly to accomplish literally nothing.
So unnecessary. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything after the Akito bullshit but it's still a disappointment.
They wanted to see the reaction for the new timeline. It's positive, so they'll continue Lelouch's story with OVAs and perhaps a new series should the moneymen approve.
Did they really have to give her slit eyes in the manga? She looks scarier than Cornelia now. Also, what is she looking at to make her blush so hard?
They should have just gone with cart driver = Lelouch and picked up from the end of R2, if they really wanted Lelouch back. Sure, it'd diminish Lelouch dying for his requiem, but since when has Lelouch not taken the chance to cheat death when the opportunity presented itself?
Were people really that upset at Lelouch coming back? CG is so boring without him.
Judging from the quality of said movie, just be glad it wasn't an entire season.
Yeah but it kind of undermines the importance of his death. What the fuck is Lelouch even supposed to do if he would've survived Zero's Requiem? That plan was his magnum opus and goodbye to the world
He wanders the world and gives out Geass. It's pretty kino.
The movie is directed at those who hated Zero Requiem.
With or without C.C.?
Which completely goes against his character and morals and what he was trying to fucking do in the original anime. There's a reason he destroyed the Geass project and slaughtered all those kids - with his death after the execution of the Zero Requiem, there would be no more Geass on planet Earth (as long as C.C. doesn't sperg out and give Geass to some random bloke), thus ending the curse.
So was it Lelouch or CC that picked out those clothes?
Anyone defending these outfits needs to have their eyes checked
Considering that he'd inherit her Code and she'd be dead, without.
based
To be fair people speculated about possibility of Lelouch survived Zero Requiem since the end of R2 with him taking Charles's code being most probable theory. It still don't redeem the fact that the movie is just barely connected together sequence of fanservice scenes, but idea of alive Lelouch is not that outrageous.
Not our fault you've got shit taste, user.
the thing I like about that theory is, that CC would end up alone. By staying immortal together with her Lelouch basicly saved her from her fate of eternal loneliness (which was the whole reason she wanted to die)
>two options
>all three
user I-
Is this canon? Is this bad? I feel like Lelouch living wouldn't be too bad if this is the same quality as S1 or at least S2 since it could be excused as another one of his great plans.
>Which completely goes against his character and morals and what he was trying to fucking do in the original anime.
Agreed. And good luck, user. I've given up on these guys.
