>>This year's May issue of Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine teased on Saturday a new manga series by Eiji Masuda (My Monster Secret, pictured left). The magazine did not reveal the manga's name or launch date.
The idiots making the decisions just don't understand that Masuda's manga needs a lot of time to build the story up. Why even publish him in the first place if you're going to axe his works just as they were getting good?
At least we got some meta-commentary on the nature of canceled manga out of it.
For me this author is on fire so far. Even his last axed manga was getting really interesting and hooking me in before it got executed. Looking forward to more.
I like how much effort he puts into his relationship instead of just letting the plot throw things on his lap, though I wish we had more situations where he's not in the straight man role, like that chapter where he's spying on his sister.

A lot of that benefit is from at least attempting to write a romcom instead of just another harem, even if it ended up being that for half the series anyway.
