losing to motobe in a close fight would be ok but jack got systematical destroyed and neutralized that it's not even funny/down right pitiful.

Jack still seems to be stronger than everyone else in Baki's core group, people here over-exagerrate how much Itagaki apparently hates him. His only 'embarassing' loss is against Motobe but Motobe memed on every character he interacted with in Dou. It's more that Baki's strength (and Yujiro's) spiralled out of control after a while, the rest of the cast fell behind

You wanna talk about someone Itagaki treats weirdly, it's Katsumi. He never wins anything, but all the characters swear that he's ridiculously strong.

also when he lost to pickle (twice, with the second time being paraded like a trophy kill), it was a call back on the max tournament where yujiro berated him for losing twice in the same day (to him and baki) so that counts as a heartbreaking loss.
