I only vaguely remember this, the intro did introduce me to reel big fish so credit due I guess.

Rave and Edens Zero are shit as well

It's literally the same garbage. Your nostalgia is blinding you.

RAVE has higher high points but is uneven as fuck. You probably just remember it as being better than it was since the last stretch of it contains most of its better content.

Based. Rave had soul. Fairy Tail is soulless.

King and Lucia were unironically great villains.

>Fairy Tail without the fanservice
What is the point

It's just ironic weebs trying to fit, all anti-Mashima fags are like this.

>Fairy Tail doesn't even come close.
This. Took me a while to accept that it was written by the same guy.

>anti-Mashima fags
Who do you mean? I hate Fairy Tail but like Mashima, he's cool and not a raging incel like Kishimoto and Horikoshi.

>Who do you mean?
Those fags who keep complaining about fanservice and how everyone should be ashamed of enjoying it and how X or Y series is better, etc. They simply have to show everyone else how better they are for liking something else. Mashima posting is the ultimate ironic weeb bait, they come in droves.

Is it???

Eh, Rave was fun but not really that good.

How come the anime art style looks different from the manga?

Not really, not a masterpiece but they're quite enjoyable

>Rave
story planned from the beginning
>Fairy Tail
Make shit up as he goes along
>Edens Zero
Main plot points planned but leaves himself enough room to improvise
You can see the difference in quality

Luffy on the left, Nami on the right.

I just tried to give this series a spin and I'm a little off-put by how generic it seems.
I give series a good chance, so I'm still going to go back to it, but I was only able to watch the first 3/4 of the first episode before having to stop and take care of something
I'll likely watch to episode 3 or 4 unless it gets better fast
Does it?
Is the manga much better?
What is the power system like and does it become more clearly defined?

I haven't watched more than the first few episodes of the anime, and it's been many years, but from what I recall the manga's better. Also the anime only covers part of the manga, and many of the best moments are later in the manga.

elie is hotter than the fairytail girls.

>raveturds still think their shit is good

It’s no better than FT.

damn, I was specifically looking for a fun dumb anime; I've got too much manga on my plate right now

Rave Master style is based on Final Fantasy, especial FFX. Why not many readers notice it?

You should be ashamed faggot. There is no weeb bait, his writing is garbage.

They look so different from the anime

Well for one thing, Rave Master started two years almost to the day before FFX was released.

>m-muh writing
Who fucking cares? Go read a book if you care so much about that. His stories are entertaining and have good art, that's enough for me.

Well Haru’s design is probably inspired by Cloud and Squall in the beginning since later Tidus.
But Elie’s start is probably inspired by Yuna from FFX-2 since FFX. Outfit is also part of Tifa.

Elie's start can't be inspired by Yuna as Elie existed years before Yuna did, especially for FFX-2. Though I should probably clarify that I don't disagree that Final Fantasy games in general likely influenced the design of Rave Master. I just wanted to point out that Rave Master predates FFX by a couple years. People don't realize the video games Mashima plays influence his style in part because a lot of people who read his work aren't gamers, and the ones who are take it for granted.

So it is Yuna who inspired by Elie?
Or had Mashima and Square worked together, contact, friends or fans?
I just know he worked with Monster Hunter and he had talking about Soul Calibur in his series.
