Pretty much yes, i think Mammoth Ivan (or his thunder?) was compared to Zeus in LB1.
GodJuna is also strong but since the Gods he absorbed were Divine Spirits, his power depends on people's faith unlike Zeus who is a full blown God. He can reset the trichiliocosm (三千世界, iirc NA translated it as 'multiverse' in Tamamo's interlude), to the point it would open 'the Apex of the End' according to Douman but given by how much time GodJuna needs to reset his LB only, i'm pretty sure he would need a lot of time to reset the whole trichiliocosm. Also if anything, Extra material states that trichiliocosm aligns with the real scale of galaxy by the way.

It's not about possessing, but that the Alien God is aiming for a replacement of the Olympian mechgods to nourish U-chan. The original plan is to eat the LB5 tree but Kirsch/Atlas had consumed all the mana before, thus the plan got fucked.
