Surprisingly great. I was expecting schlock but it was pretty nice ride.

Good. If you get invested in the characters you'll really enjoy it.

Great if you’re willing to actually finish it. The pay off is worth feeling confused at the start

The first episodes were so good. Just wish it have been more focused on hypnosis and psychological aspects instead of mafia stuff.

I'm of the opposite opinion. The first episodes were really confusing and alienating, but eventually it becomes an interesting show. I don't think it's a masterpiece or anything, but it was a nice surprise.

The definitive proof that the less a show sell the better it is. This is basically the Shiki of the 2020s.

My Aots that season.

Fujobait trash, which I regret having watched in full.

You don't have to assume they're shitpackers.

its more parental love than romantic

>falling for it

Irony doesn't translate well to chans other than pretending to be retarded. And proof of this is the anons who unironically believe that Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu is fujotrash because that's what male room mates naturally do I guess.

underrated

it bothered me how inconsistent the quality was but the design was too realistic for anime standards

What bothers me is how Hiroki seiyuu wasn't originally a seiyuu but a theatre actor. He brought a lot of raw emotion to his role and it was very disconcerting.

you think? i really liked hiroki's voice acting, it was whiny as i expected from that character

I didn't mean it in a bad way, I loved him as Hiroki and I can't imagine anyone else doing the role. but it's like the designs in this show, it all compounds to this very disconcerting feeling. The music too, it sounds almost alien at times.

never trust a chinaman, they'll rewrite your brain

the character designs were helpful to set a very serious tone but problem was that the studio couldn't keep them look like that all the time which seems like a wasted potential, maybe the blurays will fix them

You're right, and I don't have to, but consider that this sort of subtext stuff is specifically made sufficiently ambiguous so as to remain non-invasive. The mentioned Rakugo on the other hand is completely clear of this ambiguity and is entirely no homo. It's strange that you two can't feel it in the overall tone of the show and all those small details everywhere.

obviously its queer bait because thats what sells

>The mentioned Rakugo on the other hand is completely clear of this ambiguity and is entirely no homo.
Not if you consider the mangaka's previous titles, so you can safely assume there's some pandering going on there. Though the mangaka had the very good sense to not push that implication on the audience, you can make the case that it's homo based on this knowledge. Osomatsu-san was also no homo but the fujo lighting struck that show like it was judgement day, and there was no previous author context to even make that implication.

As for Pet, obviously these characters have very weird dynamics because they've been saved/mindraped by their psychodaddies and it's all very, very alien. But I don't think you have to assume that they're shitpackers when all indications is that their relationships are more familial than they are romantic.

>mental gymnastics
man you got all picky over a ''homo subtext'' in a show that clearly has other attributes to make it enjoyable stfu

This. It’s not that deep.

Better thant what the first episodes seem it to be.
Slowly builds up to a psychological mafia thriller.

I agree. But for anime is as far as deep can go.

AOTY. It makes me mad that this show suffered because retards with attention spans of literal children got filtered when the show didn’t immediately explain everything. the ending was beautiful and one of the strongest I’ve seen in a really long time and the music was great. I miss the threads too, they were comfy
