It’s not like this is some hidden subtext, the story literally spells everything out for you. Hanekawa is told to her face by an author’s mouthpiece “you are a failure of a living creature” and in the grand culmination of her character arc she has an epiphany, “Holy shit, it’s true, I am a failure of a living creature, I better try and fix this.”
Those who like Hanekawa are speedwatching mentally ill waifufags who not only are lacking brain cells to understand what the story literally tells them, but also have never spoken to a real woman to realize something is wrong with her via basic male common sense.
