How do you think authors would react if they knew that gaijins were reading their stuff without paying official releases?

Same way they react knowing nips/chinks/gooks are reading their stuff without paying for official releases.

They wouldn't give a shit since all they care about is the Japanese audience.

Can you be considered a true fan if you don't own the books?

Japan makes less and less children. They need gaijins to grow.

they wouldn't consider them as fans

chinks and gooks are gaijins for nips though

More people pay than you think.

they dont care if you dont resell them

>series being scanlated gets dropped cause they contacted the author
YIKES

what a jew

Constant growth is globalist meme. Keep the white man and the chink out of your country nips!

A varied response i assume. I vaguely remember a couple of authors complaining on social media about it. Some porn authors have commented on exhentai when their stuff gets posted. On the other hand I've encountered author-approved unofficial translations of manga multiple times.

because they know it will never be released outside of Japan

Publishing is a business

Anytime you read a manganka or author in a foreign interview they are always surprised and don't understand why their works are popular overseas.

They hate it.

thats was the case 15 years ago

nips vampire

Assuming that they don't distribute their manga overseas in the language of the gaijins they shouldn't care at all.

its the nips publisher who care

Araki is aesthetic as fuck

I've readed Phantom Blood online because i knew it would suck

Well if they don't want gaijins to pirate their shit then maybe they should start to actually try to sell them to them

I would really love to see some mangaka reactions to, say, seeing threads with hundreds of replies on here about their manga. Maybe have someone translate some posts for them too. You occasionally see something similar in various places of people or their works getting popular in the weirdest of places but manga is pretty big in the west and I wonder if mangaka know to what extent. Like how would Araki react to a JJL threads on here if he were to read it (and be able to understand what was being said)?

I read everything ilegally firts and if i like it I buy the raw japanese books. Buying the whole Takemitsu Zamurai collection was the best $100 I've ever spent

There's one or two doujin artists who release an English translation themselves. You can tell it's machine translated though. I wish more would do that.

All forms of piracy serve as the perfect advertising.
People wouldn't know anything about Japan, and wouldn't accept any products if they weren't already exposed to the culture and understood the weirdness.
The UN would have far more success in banning loli content, or most hentai for that matter, without the backlash from western fans.
Lots of the global support show to japan is because of their great public image that they sure as hell didn't make themselves.

Japan literally owes thanks to the pirates.

>Japan literally owes thanks to the pirates.
otaku are not pirates

In the sense of not paying for the product.
Does it really need to be specified?

this.

you said they should thanks pirates when 90% of the money come from Japan
