very good taste my friend :)
I recently reached the point of having completed over 100 anime, so it seemed like a good time to reflect on my favorites.
Truly, He is risen.
I gotta read the Initial D manga since I loved First Stage.
5/5 +Azumanga, Rakugo, FMA, HXH, KLK
I've seen NGE but not EoE yet. I'm currently watching it with my brother, so we were gonna watch EoE together.
3/3 +LotGH, One Piece, Haruhi

Meh, Easter holidays are overrated. I much prefer Christmas.

>I recently reached the point of having completed over 100 anime
Why would you even notice when you reach that point? I sure as hell didn't.
And what counts as "one anime"? Each single seasons of a multi-season series or the series as a whole? Do shorts count? If so, it'd be easy to watch 100 anime within a week.

... and manga.

FKMT, Taniguchi and Igarashi are always a great sight to see. I need to get my hands on Kamigami no Itadaki and Venice.
5/7
Angel's Egg is great but FMAB and HxH2011 are not for me.
3.5/5
Im@s is based and unironically great, I don't really like One Piece anymore but pre time skip was pretty great so giving a half point for that.
4/8
Haibane is amazing.

HxH 1999 is better than 2011 but wouldn't give a point for it

And manga
If you have lots of visitors, the proper version of Venice is a great decoration for your entrance, or for a lounge. A fantastic art book and easy for people to pick up and read.
I agree with you on HxH. 1999 is a lot better than 2011 but it's still not a favourable choice. I dislike its arc structure because it feels too segmented. Some WSJ manga don't have that problem, so it's a writing style crutch rather than a characteristic of WSJ manga.
What manga is right middle?
Gay undertones in Rakugo are very weird. The old guy sleeps with his dead best friends daughter because he missed him so much.
big up for the best Nishioka Kyodai
>anohana
congrats user you fell for melodramatic tear bait
The cutie honey manga is fucking terrible
feel bad
Sorry you have shit taste, user.

Sailor Moon's formula grew old very quickly for me and I had to drop it.
>Why would you even notice when you reach that point?
I use MAL to keep track of what I watch. It's convenient and easy to use.
>what counts as "one anime"?
I generally consider any show, movie, OVA, short, etc. that I can log on my list as a single entry. Although I understand there are things like collections of shorts (Modern Heroes, and Madhouse's Neo Tokyo come to mind) that should count as more than one, and it's for that reason I don't follow the "completed" number exactly as it says. It's a good enough rounding to use.

With Sound of the Sky I was hoping for more Hibike Euphonium and less military drama and folklore. While an interesting psychological study, I didn't like Haibane as much as I was hoping. I still need to watch KareKano.
true, Yakumo was kind of gay and always had a feminine air about him, especially when he was younger. No wonder he could portray women so well in his rakugo. His relationship with Sukeroku was very interesting.
correct, and I liked it too.
Well I've read only 2 (God's Child being the other one) but thanks.
4/4, Sailor Moon and Victory Gundam are based
>I use MAL
Thought as much. Well, you do you.
>I generally consider any show, movie, OVA, short, etc. that I can log on my list as a single entry.
That also means that you do count long running anime with mulitple seasons and feature films as multiple anime.
Let's take, for example, Sailor Moon: Had you stuck with it and watched it fully, you'd have, I think, ten different entires for it on your MAL profile. 5 seasons, 3 films and two collections of shorter installments (SuperS specials and the seasons' memorials).
You have the 2011 HxH on your list. I assume you've probably also seen it's two feature films, and those are listed separately on MAL. Had you watched the 1999 version, those would be counted as five different anime.
For FMAB, there are also three different entries, two of which are "specials".
Don't you think that all of that inflates that number to a degree where it becomes rather meaningless?
Happy Easter anons!

6/8 I dislike HxH 2011 and rakugo. I think pretty much anyone would have guessed that you have seen so few anime
4/4 unless that frame is supposed to represent the Z movies. I remember liking the one piece manga but I dropped it quite early on so dunno how I should rate it
8/8 nhk is very flawed but gets a point for charm and fun. trigun is much more solid but commits the cardinal sin of having a very boring second half, but I still have fond memories of it
8/9 Easter holidays are great and I miss spending them with my family in these hard times
8/8 I can't put together what you changed but I think I like this more, although rahxephon is still a very well crafted snorefest and sora no woto is a sol that has no business in delving in serious territory. I should keep getting through the fafner franchise but the first season didn't quite do it for me to continue
9/9 favorite ITT. I finally got through the final season of aria and I'm very glad I did. once again Sato made me feel the feels
>Don't you think that all of that inflates that number to a degree where it becomes rather meaningless?
Sure, but I never thought the number was /that/ important. It's just fun to celebrate passing a particular number, even if that number is inflated/vague.
That's fair, I guess. Some people do take those numbers very seriously though.
>Easter holidays are great and I miss spending them with my family in these hard times
Maybe that's why I personally don't care about them as much: For me, they never really were family holidays, unlike Christmas.
Manga only.
