>he doesn't get it
That's okay, not all things are as straight forward as legend of galactic heroes or code geass.
>code geass.
It's not straight forward but still shit.
robot good humans bad
Pino is reading a book!
But yeah I remember the collective frustration of the last 3-4 episodes constantly repeating the obvious plot points that were showed on screen while only glossing over the parts that actually needed explaining. It all falls in place once you have all the pieces but the narration is unnecessarily sparse
The real proxy was the friends they made along the way.
Okay, I'd probably get it if I rewatched, but was Rapture supposed to be an actual nuke? I thought it was intended to be seen as a signal to the space humans.
COME AND SAAAAAVEEEE MEEEEEEEEEE
>god made proxies to preserve the humans until thee earth is restored aftere the nuclear war.
>they actually did it
>suddenly
>I"VE SEEN THINGS YOU PEOPLE WOULDN"T BELIEVE
>Time to die
>Ergo proxy got mad about that and tried to destroy the humanity before he's dead to spite the god
>Vincent Law never actually purged his memories, he's actually a newly created entity
Ergo Proxy is trying to look more complex than it is but it actually makes sense anyway.
I chose to believe this scene is a Lexx reference.
Iggy literally became 790.
only watch it for iggy and pino desu
You're not supposed to, re watch it first, then come back.
Iggy is based AF.
The only reason he had to die is because he'd hijack the show and cuck Vincent.
Rewatching helps a lot actually.
At first I thought it was a nonsensical pretentious sequence designed only to confuse the viewer but once you know who is who and what is what the events and motivations actually make sense.
At first I thought EP was basically Technolyze but boring, rewatched a couple years later and older and fucking loved it. Also appreciated Re-L this time. My first impression was "oh look another bitchy tsundere" now she's fucking amazing.
>I thought it was intended to be seen as a signal to the space humans.
Looks like it was a signal nuke. The space people came down in the last episode some time after they detected a nuclear blast on Eearth.
this, vicent ruined the show desu
How they managed to fuck up Proxy One's english dub voice when they had such a solid cast still eludes me. I rewatched the show in sub (most parts) and the jap voice actor fucking nails it!
Why are you watching dubs to begin with?
I thought the dub was pretty solid all around so I watched it in dub. The second time around I switched here and there to see how things my differ.
The only proper way to watch it is by watching Shinsen subs version and their 5-10 minutes of translator notes at the end of every episode over explaining the fuck out of things.
I don't know where you're getting this god stuff from, the real humans left earth out to space and created the proxies so that there would still be the conditions required for human life when they returned. Everyone was programmed to die just so they wouldn't have population problems when they kicked everyone out of their house.
Proxy one out of absolute loyalty and a transcendent understanding of existential philosophy completely validates all their intentions by directly subverting them and creating someone who won't die when they're supposed to.
Ergo Proxy, because the answer of the Proxy is another Proxy.
>cureclover.livejournal.com
read this, you will look at the series in other way after
>He thinks the sinner is judged by buddha and punished rather than his situation being a consequence of his own karma acting upon himself
miss me with that pleb shit senpai
That's the worst way to watch the show. All the shit they explain distracts you for what it actually matters.
Hmm I dunno, the motivations make no seense.
How the fuck would the abandoned ruins of the dome cities help the spacers in any way? It's not like they had the proxies actively restoring the eco system and fixing the planet.
And why did they even need the crazy and defective artificial humans building some cities and shit when the robots could do it like WALL-E?
Isn't that basically Shinto where Buddha is just one of the good deities?
No. Buddha is a human.
