Before people start saying sage, do you think anime will start to really die out soon if companies like Funimation have their say on what is and what's not allowed in shows from here on out?
A lot of people are freaking out about it and think anime will become far more western orientated (and not in a good way) because of this. It's hard to really enjoy anime with this knowledge it's gonna get ruined soon potentially.

Look I'm asking because the anime community has been rather toxic and uppity about this. Certain sites ran by crazy people are fearmongering about western ideology taking over anime and getting rid of all the fanservice.
Who cares? They just want to be angry about "muh sjws ruining muh anime" so they would be angry no matter what. Anime going mainstream is the bigger problem, most of the stuff that comes out now is low quality garbage anyway so if it turns into western politics pandering nothing of value was lost. Who cares if the flavour of the month shounen will now have a black gay trans character? Stop bothering with stuff like that and just work on your backlog.

What about them? They are completely different shows, Promare is much more serious than TTGL and even if it somehow is a argument then what? Media evolves, music isn't the same it was over 10 years ago, same for television, games, even drawn art. People try new things, trends change, people change. If you don't like it don't support it, there is plenty of "the old good stuff" that you can watch and plenty of artists that make stuff in the "good old way".

Most anime is based on other pre-existing Japanese IPs, and this goes for most of the things made with Western companies involved too.
