the arc is boredom, like every other middle kingdom arc except coalition, but the houken aspect was the crem de la crem to kill my interest... that 20 final chapters are the most retarded thing ever writted on kingdom

kingdom is great in the massive scale of war, its a excelent representation of strategy and bla bla, the worst part are the 1vs1 because the author is a dinasty warriorsfag

It gradually gets better and better until it starts stagnating a bit, the scale of the wars gradually gets bigger and bigger, the characters are good and the strategies legit
You should at least get to the Coalition arc, it's everyone's favorite
depends, if you take out the shonen MY DICK IS BIGGER THAN YOURS bullshit dinasty warriors there is a well rounded strategy in several moments, but really depends.. I prefferr sangokushi just for that fact

What the fuck was the author even trying to do? If you're going to use this do it when the fight is actually ending, it's like he decided on an arbitrary number of days for the supplies before even deciding how long the battle was going to be, the fuck.
I agree, everything surrounding the Houken fight was absolute garbage.
The whole point of Houken was to be an unstoppable and uncontrollable force. I expected him to die as part of a strategic decision or him ignoring orders in his bloodlust, not in a brute 1v1 clash with someone who was on the field already for weeks and malnourished.

You can like the manga and still criticise the current arc, I wouldn't spend time reading 600 chapters of something I didn't like.
They fought and marched for days without food and only after it had all been won they start to starve. And then the food immediately arrives.
I enjoyed it too. The houken/ressurection stuff in the latest arc was dumb and I didn't enjoy the fire dragons arc much but the rest has been great.

Its impossible to take this series seriously when you have all these historical Chinese characters, and they all use fucking japanese names.
Imagine reading a sengoku comic except that all the names have been westernized, Oda Nobunaga becomes "Dan Nathan" or something. Could you fucking take that seriously?

Probably much better to marathon, but since Houken died it's been back to form. Wasn't unhappy with this arc but Houken was the worst part of the entire manga.
