As expected of Japan, pure trash.
Was the voting pool limited to people under 20?
Source?
Looks fake
No limit
Terrible, but way better than what the western results would have shown (SnK, KnY, and bnha would have been the top 3)
>almost all of these manga have not been relevant at a time when a teen today could have read them
that's the shonen list, not the Seinen list
Fucking terrible. Post your favorites.
Such basic bitch taste
It was a twitter trend
#私を構成する5つのマンガ
alu.jp
Naruto should be #1
based japan
It's on Twitter so essentially yeah.
But Yas Forums told me nips have shit taste
Hoes mad because their trash isekai garbage honfu isn’t on the list
Most of those manga are from the 80s and 90s, a few from the early 00s. If anything this list was dominated by Millennials.
Fucking kek, next time try to poll on TikTok, Minecraft or whatever kids use nowadays.
How does Reborn still do it?
There are no Tezuka in the Top 10, isn't he the "God of manga" ?
and they do
>Fruits Basket actually makes it into the list
>Above SnK, BnHA, Sailor Moon
Doubt. I feel like this is a result of western people meddling.
I like FB but there is no way they like it that much.
>Rumiko Takahashi still makes top 30
How did she do it bros?
Because nobody is using Twitter over 60, gramps.
FMA >>>> 90% of the shit in Yas Forums's catalogue right now.
Shoutouts to motherfucking HELLSING
Is FB more popular here than in Japan?
>no Psyren
>no Get Backers
>no Air Gear
shit list
95% of Japanese people just read Jump user, there's really not much difference between them and the west.
Tezuka is revered for his impact on both the anime and manga industries. He was prolific, creating tons of different stories, a few of which are still well regarded today. On the whole though, his popularity is a thing of the past. He hasn't been relevant to the manga scene in a very long time.
>Ranma 1/2 on the list
>but not Inuyasha
Yeah, no something is up with this list. Only the west likes Ranma enough to put it above Inuyasha, not to mention the recency bias it has.
yeah this
but hxh is on that list???
"As a westerner I really truly know what Japanese people want. Fake and gay."k e k
All those 3 are garbage.
Dogs shouldn't bark when men talk, now go back to your hole.
>D.Gray Man
I'm calling bullshit. Last I heard the mangaka is writing 4 chapters a year ever since she fucked up her wrist. Is it even being published?
Are you kidding? Fruits Basket is one of the most beloved and enduring shojo romance classics. Why do you think it got a high budget anime remake last year?
no kingdom no berserk?
Because apparently Japanese fans are boomers and nostalgiafags
Imagine not having patrician taste in a medium pioneered by your own country.
Inuyasha is #30
Dude. Funimation has to fund the remake anime so that it exists.
The Japs don't give a shit.
I thought Death Note would be higher. I guess it's one of those series everybody read and talks about but doesn't really rate as their favorite.
>Twitter
1-800-FUCKOFF
They probably didn't get enough votes to make the top 50
Where’d you read that, Kotaku? SoraNews?
Thats the real surprise for me.
But its certainly a welcome one.
I guess I got to get to reading FMA one of these days.
Its pretty short anyways.
I think she and Togashi are the only two authors to have two of their series on that list.
Normalfags in Japan don't read seinen at all.
Black Jack is there at number 29
Which is pretty much what I expected Black Jack usually makes it onto these lists. Pheonix does sometimes too, but that's only because everyone has read it.
Despite whatever Yas Forums says, it's pretty good and well-planned.
And it actually has an ending.
You won't regret it, user.
Dark fantasy and historical fiction gets rave reviews from the awards committees but doesn't really have widespread readership like shonen stuff in widely circulated magazines.
Yes
I would have bet on Astro Boy rather than BlackJack, Phoenix or Ayako.
I read only mature manga with mature label.
And I pirate everything so I can cry about japs and their tastes.
